EA will move on, they already start making money from other region, especially asians. There are some idiots will purchase this, even i myself feel tempted to purchase all these skins to get bloodhound heirloom but thank goodness that this game still suck in performances and security and it made change my mind. I got to thank EA and Respawn for this.
- 6 years ago@TissuePaper77v2 Of course they will, they're a multi billion dollar company and like all companies they need to generate a continuous supply of revenue.
I wouldn't call people idiots though. If we hope to witness changes to something we must garner the respect of the company and not sound like all we're doing is whining.
Many of us do also feel tempted to buy them. It's content we asked for after all. However the root of the problem here lies in not knowing the reasoning behind why things as priced the way they are. Things could be overpriced, but they could also not be.
Take the heirloom set for example.
Sure you have to pay, what is to most people, a large sum of money in order just to be able to access the option of buying it.
But when you bare in mind that to otherwise obtain that set you would likely have to open the 500 regular apex packs minimum, could this event offer not be considered a cheaper alternative to buying said 500 packs?
115 Apex backs cost, what? $80? After this event when the heirloom set goes into the regular drop table, it would then cost at least four times the price to be within a chance to get it.
So if one were to buy the amount of 500 apex packs, they could arguably still not receive wha this new event is offering.
By that I mean, rare drops. Legendaries for example are only guaranteed to drop every 30 packs. So 500 packs at the bare minimum would get you 16 legendary skins. Where as for less money overall you can be guaranteed all the rarer loot drops from the event specific packs.
I know I must almost sound hypocritical when stating that I think things need to be fairer, to then defend the possibility that these prices are already optimised as best they can be.
But again, this is all about justification on why the consumer should support the set prices.
Players will by content if they feel they need or want to, but we have to question is, does the value truly equal the investment?- 6 years ago
Are you a school teacher or a book publisher? why you write that much in every replies?
- 6 years ago@TissuePaper77v2 I’ve actually been both. But right now I’m just a guy with a penchant for long sentences and clearly no understanding of how to bullet point.
In all honesty though, if people have taken the time to read and comment on what is really just my opinion, it’s only fair I take the time to respond back.
