I'm sure most of them would still consider themselves competitive; quite the slippery slope

They absolutely do. The most common response I’ve heard from players is “Well I still have to aim at my targets so that still takes skill.”

They had them, they were just expensive. Most people got shredded on CoD and would turn it off.
but when the pandemic stared down at them, instead of trying to get better they whines about how they were getting demolished and bought these controllers/3rd party mods.
it’s pathetic to see these dudes who were so unbearable in sports fold like a lawn chair over a video game.
