7yr Old Broken Heart - "Revenant's Bad Deeds"

My 7yr old son is conflicted about the character he loves the most, to the point that he broke down in tears, and had a mini-panic attack, because he had a hard time accepting that Revenant is bad. I told him I could relay his questions and concerns, and this forum seems to be the closest I could relay his message. Thank you to any who read, or listen.

So most of this is just changes but some of this is questions. Please tell me all the questions, but all the other things, tell me too please.

Can you make the game that Revenant has to have a good heart because I don't know the meaning if Revenant is an Apex Legend if he doesn't have a good heart. Aren't all Apex Legends supposed to have a good heart? Can you make a little good things for Revenant because I don't want him to be all bad.

He doesn't have to be all good but maybe not all bad.

What does skin suit even mean? Just asking. It's a question.

So that's it. This doesn't make any sense is what the story is like. What's going on in the story line? I dont know all of the story line even so can't you guys tell me a little bit more about the story line? I hope part of it is that Revenant can have a good heart. Because I think maybe in most of the other games, the baddest guys are humans. Robots are cool and I don't want Revenant to be bad.

@IKcWayne The story of Revenant is that he is an assassin (someone who kills important people because someone else had asked them to) who was once a human being like the rest of us. However, a big company that makes a lot of robots called Hammond Robotics, and a collective of people who do bad things for money called the Mercenary Syndicate, had changed him from a human into a robot. Revenant has always done bad things, it's just that when Hammond Robotics and the Mercenary Syndicate changed him into a robot, they also made him forget every single time he did something bad that he wasn't human anymore.
Now, Revenant has discovered that he IS a robot, but because he didn't want to be one, his new goal is to kill everyone who had turned him into a robot.
As for "skin suit" he's just referring to the fact that everyone else is human and has skin like normal people, because he's made of metal.
The story now, is that the lady named Loba had her parents killed by Revenant, and she's trying to destroy Revenant's brain (which is located somewhere super secret) in order to get revenge for her parents. If she succeeds, Revenant will essentially die permanently. There's also this season's Quest event storyline to take into account, but since it's locked on a per week basis, no one really knows what the story for that one is yet.
I am sorry to say that I'm not a developer, so I won't know if maybe Revenant will have a change of heart and be good. However, it would be nice wouldn't it?

This is a great start, hopefully this information will help alleviate some of the anxiety and turmoil regarding the current impression(s) of Revenant. Thank you so much for taking the time to type such an elaborate and helpful response and story!

@IKcWayne You're in the General Discussion board, you put the thread in the right place! Just wanted to discourage you from putting it in other areas where you might not get an answer, such as General Feedback / Bug Report / Legend Feedback, etc. etc.

@IKcWayneRevenant is neither good or bad(Revenant is an arse though that's for sure). In a sense Revenant is an anti-hero like Deadpool(they're also both mercenaries or assassin for hire). In the trailer the guy Revenant killed is a con-man and a thief. In the story-line "Broken Ghost" Loba is hiding something from Revenant(My guess is that she's trying to find this artifact to trade it for Revenant's "Source code" location). So in the story Revenant isn't really the "bad guy" or atleast not yet.

Well... The revenant lore is just that he is a bad guy.
A Mercenary for the Syndicate (Apex Predators) founded by Kuben Blisk.
And he will still hunt everyone in Hammond robotics anddd now that they are back in Worlds Edge.
I don't see the story get any better in fact it's going to get worse.

@IKcWayne like @Zeelmaekers said, the story will only turn into a worse situation for Revenant.
Depending on your kid’s age I’d also say that Rev is a robot so he’s neither bad nor good, but days stuff which makes him sound bad.
Skin suit = bags of flesh & skin that ppl ‘wear’. Has also been stated by someone else but I wanted a clear cut reference ^.^

@Koochi-QI would say the majority are, in their own way. 👍
@IKcWayneRevenant is a good guy, just look at the heart on the belt of his legendary skin.
He obviously did some controversial things when he was human to put food on the table but when he found out about his past and that he was a robot that understandably made him angry so now in rage the good guy does bad things to bad people but does that make him ultimately bad? Or as @Koochi-Q said, is it even possible for him to bad as a robot.
The answer is yes he's bad as he loves killing but for your son you can grey out a lot of areas. 😉
At least he has no qualms in being who he is and you know where you stand with him. It's pathfinder that I find is a shady character.

@Koochi-Q Nah, he is a victim here so the story will turn out good for him. I think so but who knows...
Same can be said about the manipulative and seductive Loba 🙂
