I agree that it seems logical on the surface that such a successful game would take the problem more seriously. And yet I can also see from a shareholder's point of view: "Why invest in anti-cheat if player population is steady or growing?" And when the population starts to decline shareholders will simply say: "All games die - if death is approaching for this one then there's no point in spending money on frippery like anti-cheat?" It's a self-reinforcing downward spiral.

@reconzero They have the option to let it die, or make it super successful. If the continuously invested back into their game, they could surpass any other game, making any other game obsolete. If they continued to invest in their game I believe the value would eventually surpass the initial cost.
