A player's self-statement
Hello, I want to share my story with Apex Legends here, and try seeking any help from staffs and other players.
I have been a loyal player of Apex Legends since Oct 2020, that was Season 7. From then, my obsession with the game has led me to spend three thousand hours on it.
In September 2023,my account was hacked once because my friend deceived me. By continuously sending emails and evidence to the TOS team, I successfully recovered my account and unblocked it after the seventh email. This is why, until now, I am still willing to believe that EA and the TOS team will give me a fair judgment. In December 2023, I left the game due to my busy life, and returned to it in February of the following year after dealing with everything.
However, when I was about to return to the game, I found that my account had been hacked again. My EA email address was changed without any notice, maybe a week, maybe a few months, and I still don't know the answer. It took me a lot of effort to get my account back, and all my identity information had been changed. When I logged into the game, the game showed that my account had been banned. I thought it was the same as last time, so I described everything and showed evidence.
But this time, the TOS team rejected my appeal twice in a row, and gave exactly the same response every time for the next ten times. I don't know the reason for the ban. I didn't receive any email when the ban happened, and the ban reason in EA help is still blank until now. But I am sure that I am innocent. I tried to seek help from the BBB team and the live streamer I knew. They gave me some suggestions but none of them worked. Since February this year, I almost wrote another email immediately after receiving a reply. So far, I have written nearly a hundred emails, but the content of each reply is still exactly the same.
Today, a customer service representative told me that he would send feedback to the game to prove my innocence. I chose to believe him, just like always. The TOS team rejected me countless times like a robot, my emotions have changed from confusion to doubt to anger and now to helplessness. But even so, I still believed that my favorite game would not let me down.
○ Why are you raising the dispute? -I am innocent, I believe EA and TOS team will give me a fair judgment
○ Did you break any game rules? -I guarantee that I have not violated any game rules in the user agreement in the more than 3,000 hours I have played
○ When was the last time did you login to play? -Mid-December 2023, from this time to late February 2024, I have never logged into my account
It's funny to say that this year, my game time has not increased, but the time I spent opening EA help and writing letters has almost reached 30 hours. Maybe, I will still be rejected by the robot this time, but deep in my heart, EA and TOS team will give everyone a fair verdict.
If it really doesn't work, maybe I will be desperate in the future. I used to sit in the game lobby, looking at my newly purchased appearances and skins, my season pass and rank in each season, and I would sit there for an entire afternoon.
Even if my ban cannot be lifted in the end, I just hope EA can allow me to enter the game lobby. I want to see my collection and achievements, recall every minute and every second of playing games with my friends, and the excitement and joy when I first reached the diamond rank.
I have almost accepted the fact that I have lost my account, but I sincerely plead that, to please let me enter the game lobby. Don't take away all my memories.
Unfortunately, banned and/or hacked accounts cannot be handled on the forums.
For any ban, all information about the ban should of been sent to you in an email. (You may need to check your spam folder to find this email). If you still cannot find the email, you can also check your ban history here, (but some bans may not appear here).Only the EA TOS team will be able to help you with any banned accounts. For hacked accounts, you would have to go through EA Support instead.
You can find the EA TOS Team here.
