Abandon Penalty Cooldown/Reset

i really like that there is a penalty. it helped to make the matches with randoms better.

but since its stacking after every leave, you could stack a pretty big penalty time.. whats with people who have work where they sometimes have to stop playing immediately or when there is an emergency? i had to abort a match twice where i could not play a game to end, and one time i ragequitted (1 jumped solo, died instantly and timer run out, second one got a vault key, i pinged, ran and waited at the vault when he took a jumptower to a totally different direction (without pinging), and died too.

yes i could have avoided the last one but not the other times. so everyone who does have reallife cant really play ranked because they will eventually stack up 1week penalty in.. lets say a year?

there has to be a reset or maybe for every day 1minute less penalty the next time you leave.

I honestly don't mind the penalty but once we had a teammate who would go off on his own and refuse to comply. My friend and I died and we had to spectate the last guy. He was just sitting and camping poorly and we thought that since we were dead we would be allowed to leave but I clicked too fast and didn't realise you still got a penalty even when you were dead.

I'm an absent minded person so I don't want to rack up my penalties cuz I make nistakes

This is just a stupid game. Everyone talks about leavers like it's the worst thing in the game. Really? Why the heck I have to be penalized if I leave 1 game out of 100 and only because I see that a teammate runs the hell out of the hot area, because he either has no weapon, no ammo or low on health.

Respawn - are you really out of your mind? Last time I left ranked game was week ago(and I play every day). Today I left, because of the reason I mentioned above and got doubled time penalty from the previous time. Are you god damn crazy there?

Well the only good thing about this penalty, is that I spend less time at the computer then :D

I especiall dont think its fair to double penaltt and not reset when teammates do not even attempt to play with their team in many occasions. I enjoy playing apex and work a lot... I take the game very seriously its the only game I play. That being said the 3rd season I have been into the game more than ever, I've been expecting a new map since release. As weekly challenges return I play on normal apex servers to finish my challenges. When I finish them I go back to apex and if you play seriously then you know that normal apex servers dont house the best players. Often I get stuck with either bots or teammates who don't cooperate. So often I leave. Now when I play ranked I try to remember I cant leave but that doesnt always happen when I play a lot of both servers. Why on earth should I have to watch players who arent being a team player or let my beacon time out?? (Especially when beacons time out) At that point I'm no longer use to my team, I should be able to play a new game. I now have accumulated 1hour and 50 minutes, and actually concernced on if theres a cap or not. Im not waiting 3 hours to play because a teammate goes off on his own, lets me die, or isnt able to grab me, OR I forgot I was playing ranked, OR theyre obnoxious on mic( the list goes on and on for reasons to leave a match)...

I just think its a bit much to pentalize me cause I leave MY TEAM when really theyre aint playing as A TEAM. For this reason especially please for the love of god bring back solos. So those players have their space. I mean I could think of a million better rules to the system. After a beacon times out take off penalty. Allow banned players to go back to regular apex servers. Reset the ban back down to a mintue after 3 days or so. Put a 20 min CAP on the ban for gods sake....

there's nothing to fix, you're toxic, you don't play with your team, get rekt then

we (most of the players) have never received any penalty or ban, the problem comes from you and not from the game

And this response is so old.  It does not allow for d/c or accidental leaves which happen.  All these righteous * insisting "don't leave" are the exact players who's team I never want to be on.

Yeah slap those leavers! Make them cry more and get their * glow red from spanking! HAHAHAH!

I bet this leavers give up in reallife too and just get nothing to the end.

Another Holier Than Thou poster...So you might be young enough to play all day without interruptions but sometimes I have to get up and attend to family members, family members may inevitably get hold of my controller whilst I've put it down because I can't bare watching another 500 kill Lifeline carry me around to die in his next gun fight in 20 minutes time, because quite literally as the saying goes, accidents happen.  I accidentally left a game this morning, I got distracted, forgot I was playing ranked, came back to my controller (see point one) and then realised I had landed mid map without a gun or shield.  I left using muscle memory because I know the button combo to do so without looking and then realised I had been penalised.  That one is sorta on me BUT I don't expect to be shafted for a 45 min penalty from games I did intentionally leave 3 weeks ago.
