Abandon Penalty Cooldown/Reset

I can't find any published info about a cooldown or reset of the abandon penalty after a specific time period has elapsed--other games I've encountered a deserter or leaver penalty in have integrated this feature and I'm curious if Apex has too.

If not, the alternative seems somewhat harsh. I've managed to rack up a 45 minute abandon penalty so far because I've been too quick on the leave button when allies have gold shields, but carrying that for the entirety of S3 and into future Seasons feels off-putting.

All these model players being all pro leaver buster. A leaver buster penalty would only be fair if i could stop getting flung into solo VS squad matches or duo VS squad. So FIX Your Sht before being High and mighty about leaving early when you have tweedle dee and tweedle dum running onto fights and running away the moment i engage. Leaving me to fight legion by my lonesome. Yes i am not a great player and can't take on the horde by my magnificent freaking self. ..!.

well, it's kinda * when my wifi decides to go out on match point, and I caan't get back into the game in time, giving me a loss and aa penalty even though we would've won.

What a stupid * addition to a BR game. I was on ranked and meant to join a friend of mine however I joined a random game so I back out, keep in mind. This is my first game on this * * game in months, but I quit ONCE. And put in a 20 min abandon game penalty. * annoying. This alone makes me rather play * * Fortnite over this stupid excuse for a “game” * you and whoever made this penalty.

@chase_duncan52 Then go play something else then. I think the system is pretty fair considering that you did queue up for a supposedly more "prestigious" game mode(this is coming from someone who had to sit through a 20 min time out after leaving two games cause I just can't deal with my teammates anymore). Also leaving doesn't penalize you for 20 min maybe you've been quitting a bit too much games recently(past few games not taking into consideration the time between them).

Welp - I found an exception: When my internet just crapped out on launch, and when it came back I was waiting a few more minutes of penalty. I only did it by accident once before (5 mins), and this time must have been 10 mins I guess? Anywho-ski
