Addressing "Promise" Trailer Theories

Horizon's assistant is Ash

This is an entirely possible theory and all the evidence we have adds up.

The most obvious bit of evidence in my eyes is the fact that in the Broken Ghost, Ash mentions a lot of references to Horizon, including:

- Just a wee bit of betrayal before breakfast, eh dearie?

Ash would not know about this unless she was Horizon's assistant or worked with the people who ordered Horizon's assistant to steal the Branthium. The former is a lot more likely to be the case.

- All roads... all roads lead to Branthium

I myself am not entirely sure what this means, but my theory is that it's referring to the fact that they had no other choice than to extract the branthium.

X equals the temperature of the negative space, not the specimen itself

This is referring to some scientific equations Horizon and her assistant had to solve in order to find the branthium they needed, further hinting at this Ash theory to be true.

In addition, Blisk mentions something about Ash's friend who just got back. This could obviously mean anyone, but if it is Horizon, it strongly justifies the theory of Ash being Horizon's assistant.

And if we just take a look at Horizon's assistant in the trailer, she does look similar to the Ash we know. She sounds like Ash, and embodies a lot of that creepy mysteriousness Ash always has.

Horizon's son is Revenant

This theory makes no sense at all because Revenant was first uploaded in the year 2420, and the events of Promise take place in the year 2646, and Horizon's son looks about 8 in that trailer. See the problem here?

Horizon created Pathfinder

This is not impossible, but it's unlikely. Pathfinder woke up with no memory about 20-30 years ago, and Horizon had been missing for 60-50 years.

Horizon's son created Pathfinder

This is much more likely, as we see that Horizon's son grew up to be a scientist of some sort. If this theory is true, what would his motives be to create Pathfinder?

It's safe to assume for his entire life, Horizon's son never gave up hope on his mother's return. We know Pathfinder is a modified MRVN unit designed to location scout and survey. Is it possible Horizon's son created Pathfinder to help find his mother?

    Ah ... but gravity/time travel ...

Plus, whenever I play Rev (which is all the time) I get a hankering for neeps and tatties, haggis and scotch ...
