Advice fot beginner
Hi Ive just started playing apex legends and would appreciate if you could offer any advice for a beginner, ive started playing as bloodhound. Is there anything i should be changing in my settings...
@BigMacAttack8u Gotta jump on the bandwagon here. Maybe 4-3 Cl doesn't work for you, but a large percentage of pros aren't using it just for a lark. I don't like it either, but 4-3 or 3-3 (either classic or linear) is the starting point where I'd recommend getting used to the game from. I think ALC is not a good rabbit hole for a beginning player to go down. They need to learn the game, not to mess with a bunch of confusing sliders.
You'll find lots of good videos that mostly agree with each other for your in-game settings (outside of look and ADS sense settings). Certain default settings are fairly lousy for most players (a common example is getting kicked out of a death box upon taking damage, which can make armor swapping, one of the most basic combat skills, very difficult), and you'll find plenty of solid, basic advice.
If you do dive into looking at your look controls, you'll find a boatload of clickbait videos promising you "These ALC settings will make you play like a pro!!!" Avoid them entirely. Here is a video that does a great job of actually explaining concisely how all of the look settings work, without telling you what settings you should use. But I recommend what I said above - to start with some variety of the default look settings until you are comfortable with how to play the game. You'll have plenty of time to go into adjusting your look controls later.
Which character should i use when not using bloodhound?
Be prepared to grow thick skin to play this game. You'll find yourselfing playing and 3-4 hours just went by but when you look back you only really enjoyed 2-3 games the whole evening.
Most random teammates are just as challenging as the enemies themselves in many ways you'll realise.
You'll find most think they're 1v3 Pros and expect you to be their personal revive assistant.
I recommend learning the characters with escape abilities first for this reason as you'll often face squads alone.
