All in all, I will say that I'm pretty happy with the bow. From a user standpoint, most of it feels pretty good. When I'm hitting or missing my shots it all seems pretty fair. It gets a little muddy once you introduce the shatter caps into the equation. But I think that's true of anything that works like a shotgun in this game. I will also say that it feels pretty amazing in both ADS and hip fire. My personal favorite is to crouch with it, so the bow is horizontal, like Hanzo in Overwatch. That's really fun, especially with Revenant.
As far as being against people who use the bow, I haven't really had much issue. Again, outside of a little bit of RNG with the caps, Every hit or miss they got on me felt pretty fair. And as far as the sound goes, I haven't had an issue with it. The audio from the bow is pretty distinct from anything else in the game, So my ear picks up on it pretty quickly. And a lot of the times, visually, I end up seeing it whizz by me or I can kind of tell where it came from based on how the arrow landed.
All in all, things feel pretty good with it on both sides for me.
I will say, that if they nerf it, I hope they don't go all overwatch with it, to the point where they nerf it into the ground or change so much about it, that it loses what was so fun and enjoyable about it in the first place. But I do understand if they feel it needs a bit of tweaking.
That's all I really have to say about it at this point.

Umm really? they did that already, to legends like Wraith, Pathfinder, Wattson, Caustic. That's just respawn thing, streamers seem okay with it though because they can demolish casuals easily with that and make some content. So let's see how long until they nerf it.
They will reduce the damage for sure, it's just the same as wingman, it's pretty hard to land the shots, but if you have a good aim, it's not much of a problem. It's obviously OP and there's no excuse around it. You don't even need kraber anymore as long as you have 3x and a bow. It pretty much hits the same.

I just said I *hope*, I didn't say I think they will. There is a difference.
And I know how they've been. I used to feel this game did balence better than Overwatch. But, recently I've been proved wrong about that quite a bit. They're maybe not as bad as the OW balencing team, but it's pretty close sometimes.
Sadly, can't say I'm too surprised. Especially, when you get streamers and pro players complaining about every little thing. So, like my days in OW, it's the same BS, just a different color.
I do not hate the bow.
I LOVE the bow.
I like firing it, and I do not mind getting hit by it. I think it is a great add, in a game when weapons aren't nearly deadly enough and every time someone gets killed by something, they start screaming about that the weapon was too good. Sometimes, it is true, a weapon might be OP. But for the most part, in this game, weapons are completely underpowered so people can feel better cause they died to 100 bullets rather than ones.
Weapons should kill you and hurt you in a game with shooting weapons. It sucks to die, that's why you must learn to go kill others. Not all weapons should be loud, some should kill you real good, and I'd dare say even with one shot. If you learn the weapons, instead of asking for them to be nerfed all the time, you will find that most are fine. To me, including the bow.
Come on, you have to actually aim the thing. People act like the person killing you with it didn't have to use it well.
- @KelRiever Good points. This game is geared towards high TTK...VERY HIGH TTK. They've created their own mess because any gun that comes along and is strong will stand out as "OP". It's not really OP. It's just doing normal TTK damage compared with other games lol
My general beef with the Bow is I've been outdueled when I'm actually hitting good shots with say a Longbow. So I'm hitting him, he's hitting me with the Bow, and I have to be the one to duck or get knocked. And it doesn't feel close either.
I think another side of this is the fact the TT is in the care package now. I imagine a TT with the choke could be a more even matchup. I don't get why they put the TT in the care package.
- @bosourd The bow doesn't down people in one headshot like the Kraber. It's more like a longbow with skullpiercer.
- @Lord_Scorpion34 true, I didn't necessarily say it'll one-shot you, but the fire rate & ADS time are faster. So yeah, it hits the same.
Now I've learned to use it, the bow is awesome. In a game yday my squad was at waterfall and there was a fight on the roof of Hammond Labs. I did 600 damage in about a minute 🙂

Look, if you're so good at aiming that you might as well be using an aim bot, then yeah, certain weapons are OP.
But nobody here should be lying to themselves or to anyone else thinking they land shots like a pro, because they don't.
Listening to pros is what has Wattson be 'OP'. Meanwhile she's one of the least chosen characters in the game. Meanwhile Octane isn't overpowered at all but chosen all the time by players, often because they want to just ignore the team and do what they want.
Weapons, and characters, are made for the game public and the pros will play whatever game exists...you know...because they make money doing it. If they think the bow is OP it could be, but I'm not going to take my queues from people who find a way to land 2 arrows with every single shot both into your eyes. Because they're not in my games nor will they ever be. 🙂
You know what? I stand corrected.. MAKE EVERY GUN THE ALTERNATOR AND ALSO NERF IT. Then everyone can feel better about life. Even though they'll surely start complaining their alternator isn't as powerful as the enemy's and hacks and etc. etc. etc.

- @jokool_aid Well I've also had a lot of people miss me with it. It's not a guaranteed kill weapon like some make it out to be.
