@Zeues-1992 That's not really something that should apply to ranked play. You're absolutely right when it comes to some sort of story, or nostalgic play. And bringing back an old, bad map every once in a while for fun is fine.
But King's Canyon, basically still their first attempt at a map with changes, is awful. And if it was good, like World's Edge, then you wouldn't be able to do what I'm talking about. You 'git gud' by ditching your team in KC, while you don't playing WE.
Now, sure, if they edit it does it stand a chance of being better? Maybe. But they've done that how many times now with KC? It's fundamentally a bad map, that is too small, that encourages you to abandon your team to survive, and while it was the first try, should be abandoned for any real attempt at playing a good game. That part of the story is done, no need to make people have to play it for ranked. Keep it to events.
@KelRieverWhen did you start playing?
Can you elaborate on this for me ''You can only do what I'm talking about in KC because that's how bad that map is'' and also why does it encourage you to abandon your team to survive? Surely in a smaller map where the action is closer your survivability will increase staying together?
Edit: I would find your playstyle quite troublesome going from this and actually explains why I'm not keen on WE.
''You know you've got a good game in KC if your 2 team mates follow you, and you all basically roam and collect until you're in final 5. Then go do the dumb firefight and see if you win. Otherwise, your team mates were just going to get you killed anyway''.

@apostolateofDOOM On such a small map, you're never going to survive the initial drop unless you run away. You can stick together as much as you want, you won't be a team after you're third partied to death. Played since season 1, quit Apex after I saw what was up, came back in Season 4 and stayed because World's Edge is so much better.
Sorry, King's Canyon is pointless even when you win. You don't even win firefights because of skill, you win because you ended up being the last one there. There's no aiming involved, no strategy or thinking, nothing but * twitching and pure rng luck. It's like people thinking they have skill when they won roulette. They don't, and the casino loves that kind of sucker.
You can see it from casual play to ranked, you can see it when pros play if you like esports. World's Edge fixed everything wrong with KC including the size, and makes for a better game. There's no point in going back other than for nostalgia.
- 5 years ago@KelRiever I personally find the action constant and consistent on KC.
Multi group fights are part of the strategy, when to stay and fight and when to disengage. WE you can literally walk the entire map looking for another team and not find them till final circles which in a fast paced shooter is a problem in my eyes. Each to their own I guess. - 5 years ago

So you're just bad then? And just like that, the term World's Edge Baby was born.
I disagree with WEB's, KC best map.

@Wingmannedbro Nah, I'm better than you if I know what to do in King's Canyon and you don't.
One day, you'll realize that and how bad the map is and then you, like Dream above, will git gud. I promise I'm placing higher than you if you think KC is good.

Someone literally has to survive.
I love and play Kings Canyon a lot. And yes sometimes it can be a slapfest. But also you *can* survive. And have done many times.
Kings Canyon SkullTown drops are zero different to World's Edge Capitol City/Frag drops.
