Apex badly needs new game modes
Ive played this game over 100 hours. But i havent played at all the last 3 days and still have no desire to play right now Part of it is just natural burnout from playing a game a lot. Part of it is...

2 months and they have released nothing when it comes to content. A new gun and a new legend that will keep people entertained for about 5 seconds.
The games matchmaking is still terrible. No progression in the game. People want Ranked/Solos or some substantial content to put time into not stupid shallow crap, people were hoping the battlepass would add to the game it was completely pointless though.

That's the issue, people expect too much.
Especially for a F2P game.
It's not expecting too much. Other games have Solos/Duos as other people pointed out. That's a standard. But if Respawn plan on continuing down the route of squad based gameplay it needs matchmaking or some form of ranked.. which other games have.

I agree matchmaking and Ranks are needed.
Matchmaking isn't easy though.
Do people get matched by Level ie Level 80 and above play together?
As I've seen some pretty horrible level 90 players. Level is only time played and does not reflect skill at all.
Or do you get matched by kills? Ie players who hot drop and leave, rinse/repeat etc. The list goes on.
Stats etc need to be collected in order to have matchmaking.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt we will see solo's in Apex. As much as other people want it.
Legend abilities will have to be re-worked or completely removed for solo's to work.
Duo's I can see or maybe 4 man squads.
But for solo's the game will need a large re-work.

Two man squad would work well imo.
