So today I've struggled to get into games with people who want communicate through microphone, I have been in 4 games in a row and have been instantly killed due to my team running away or not paying...

you have to wait that 1.5 min better than get the 5 mins which will keep increasing, playing with Randoms can be crazy sometimes, not because they are bad but you don't know each other play style and so.

so just bear for a 1.5 min then leave.
