The new apex update seems to have introduced, along with numerous other issues, some really bad input lag and is mostly apparent on next gen consoles from what I’m seeing. Can this be looked into? Thanks.

I had to edit Windows registry to get this game running in true full screen. You can find guide on reddit. This game was always running in borderless for some reason even if I had it set to Fullscreen. You can know when youre not full screen when alt+tab from game is instant (without black screen for two seconds).Borderless is causing noticeable input lag in all games and when you switch to true fullscreen it gets really better + you also should get +/-10fps more with true Full screen.This happens with some games while using Windows 10 (not sure how with 11), so you always wanna make sure youre in true fullscreen by alt-tabbing. I think this could be caused by some of more recent Windows update.

@EA_Aljo I have done as you said, no improvement. It’s just the 60 fps feels sluggish. No worries, will return when 120 fps arrives

It's nothing to do with Internet there desperately needs to be at least a vsync option on console I can't hit anything if I'm not on pc since getting used to it its horrible

@SILVERisSORRY Alphaintel said that plugging your xbox controller to the console helps. Hope all of these xbox bugs get fixed soon for you guys.

@Cheese9Man I've been doing that and it has helped somewhat, but still get the occasional no reg from button pressing. Very annoying.

@EA_AljoI re-downloaded the XSX version today and the input lag is pretty bad, not sure if that’s because I’m more accustomed to 120hz now only, or if the vertical sync issue hasn’t been fixed yet? Either way it is really bad and it’s the only thing keeping me from diving back in because I can’t get used to it and I get annihilated

I’m on Xbox series x. I’ve been playing apex on the series x for the past year and this update made the input lag worse substantially.

Have you checked all the in-game settings to see if anything changed that may affect this? Also, is game mode enabled on your TVs?

Yes. I am using a 1ms response time monitor, my game settings are as they were before and I have no problems with other games. The game is constantly dropping frames aswell causing stutters every 10 seconds. This is not an issue on my end.

@EA_Aljo I use an LG C9 with ALLM. I changed my aim deadzones all the way down which helped a very little bit. I think it’s mostly just not being accustomed to 60 fps anymore for competitive titles. I will wait until the 120 update and try again. Even if it was going to be 1080p I wish they included that option. As an aside I really liked the control mode and hope that becomes permanent, or some kind of faster spawning TDM mode

Are you on a wired or wireless connection? Also, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
