Apex is a good game absolutely ruined by it’s playerbase

I see this complaint made a lot lately as if it's a new thing.  Both of these problems have plagued my game since I began playing Apex in S7.

I'm not disagreeing that it's a problem - it 100% is.  But I'm not sure why people talk as if it's a recent phenomenon.

"The primary goal is survival but the most fun aspect is fighting. Fighting in no way aids survival and simply surviving isn't fun. Who wants to play a game that isn't fun? Who wants to play using a losing tactic?"

This could be solved very fast. 

Now you only get points if you don't fight and survive till the top 9.

They could leave that as it is, and only add that you also get points when you kill someone. So both player bases would be happy.

The ones who like to fight from the gecko, and the others who don't.

Unfortunately online gaming has always will be and will always be toxic.

I think not getting a score if you didn’t, say, cause damage to an opponent before you hit top 10 would only prove how badly Apex, and Battle Royake fames, are set up for that.

What people actually want is something more like Vontrol, or Arenas, or TDM. I don’t think they actually want a BR format even if they say they do. And I’ve been on this for a while.

Battle Royales are not good games for competition.

The game is being cultivated to help the casual gamer. The whole match used to be like 25 minutes tops people were only ratting of they had lost both teammates and couldn't get them back. Now you have entire squads sitting in buildings spam crouching while looking at each other for 10 minutes straight till circle forces them to move locations and you can't even fight a team without 4 teams sniping you from across the map. They claim it's to make it more competitive but when did camping long enough to go take a fat * become competitive gameplay?

Yeah i read all the patch updates before I deleted the next season is gonna be worse because now if you play solo you're for sure going to get garbage teammates because anyone good is going to squad up for sure now.
