Apex Legends Causing PC to Restart

Long story short, this PC I bought only a couple of days ago is restarting almost every time I start up Apex, or it will restart a couple minutes into playing a match or two. There've been some times...

Looks like updating the BIOS to my motherboard was the solution! Already noticing a bunch of things that I would semi-consistently cause the restart aren't happening, such as closing and reopening the game after having no issue, and opening a program like Photoshop at the same time as playing. I'll keep messing around to see if the restart happens, but so far this seems to be the solution for me.
Assuming this is the end of the issue, just gonna say thanks to everyone who took the time to reply!

@SirGentShiggy might be this old chestnut:

Had a similar problem a while back after a Windows update. It had reset the HD to sleep after 20 min rather than the setting I had put in of HD not sleeping.

To stop the HD from going to sleep, somthing like this:

click on power icon in tray

Then More Power options.

In the Control Panel window

select Change Plan settings for your current Power Plan

Then select Change advanced power settings.

In Power Options click the + sign Next to hd.

Under Turn off hard disk after heading, change the value to 0 or never.

Did it, thought I think some of the steps your describing would be specific to a laptop, no? Since a desktop PC wouldn't have the power icon in the tray like a laptop would with its battery icon.

Regardless, I knew where power settings were, so I made the change; I'll make another reply if this works. I'm also going to try updating my BIOS later to see if that does anything.
