@Defox11 You summed up perfectly everything I've been saying about this game for a long time. The TTK is WAY too high. This is also why Apex is notorious for third party tactics. Players complained about the lower shields at the beginning of season 6, but then they regularly third party. Why? Because they want to catch enemies with health already knocked off LOL!!! So what's the difference?
The points about taking a whole clip to crack a shield are spot on too. In a clip, I can get 3-4 kills in Battlefield 4, TitanFall 2, or really most any other shooter. In Apex, it often takes two full clips just to get a knock.
Speaking of TitanFall 2...I'd highly recommend it. It uses the same weapons basically as Apex, but with a normal TTK. Plenty still playing on PS4 and on PC since they re-released it on Steam this past summer.
