Apex Legends Server Issue

This game claims that it has Multiple servers in Asia , but only connects 3-4 servers even after choosing a preferred server, which in my case i choose three SG server in Data center. Yet it connects to some server in EU(probably Amsterdam) and 3 other servers in US.

If anyone else having this same issue please let me know.

Steps to follow to determine your in-game ping when you join a game --->

Launch the game

Open Task Manager - Performance

On the bottom click Resource monitor

In Resource monitor go to Network

Drop down Processes with Network Activity

Check r5apex.exe (Apex Legends's game)

Drop down TCP Connection

And see Latency column which gives your in-game ping and tells which server you have connected to

Also if there is a quick resolve for this that i can do from my side please let me know. I rather prefer playing this game on 40 ping rather than 150

Proof of Apex Legends not connecting to preferred server :-

  • Have the same issue. Very annoying. Every game is different in terms of latency. Tried everything possible to resolve, but had to purchase Exitlag proxy instead. Btw i live in Guangdong China and have a choice of connecting to either HK or SG where i could get <100 ms ping.

What i think is the game doesn't have any Asian servers at the moment. And all the huge bunch of list of Asian servers in game is just a marketing stunt by EA to Get attention of Asian players.

But as an Asian player myself what we can do is just wait a few more months so that they make these servers Active. Other wise this will become just a false claim by the game.Any money invested by Asian players will just be a waste .

As of now the problem of lags and crashes still stands for those trying to play from China. Had to switch to using Tencent proxy called wangyoujiasuqi (cant guide you how to install it since im not chinese), but in general it seems as using different sort of proxies is the only solution. I sincerely hope the new patch will fix the issue once and for all.
  • Yo I'm passed I posted it on my Instagram my Squad got a win, yet in the final round as I lead the charge I lost connection, therefore the win I would of saw through was taken sure my character was there but I wasn't I have 9 Season Wins that would of been my 10th.

Respawn you owe me a win you owe me for what, your several issues had taken from me and them bugs with Octane's Ultimate that was a temporary fix it went for a time then it came back, you need to fix your servers I'm on Playstation ever since the Wild Hunt started I've had repeated crashes traffic, should be an issue you said you fixed it with your recent patch note, you should of been prepared for the server traffic you owe me.

  • Servers are still lagging making the game pretty unplayable, missions are still missing

  • yep, thank you for your guidance. Now i knew which server i was connected to when i got lagging while playing. EA have 3 server on SEA but i connected to Virgina or something far away from my place.
