Apex Moderation Issues

In Apex Legends if you were to say anything you could be reported and banned for illegal text chat rather then it simply being filtered out. I was scrolling on youtube and saw that they finally put some form of a chat filter in the game. Doesn't this make lots of the bans for hate speech somewhat unfair now? I said the word ret***** which is not even a flagged word on literally all other games and got banned. If this filter was in place I'd still have my account right now. One of the worst parts is the fact that I was reported and ultimately banned by a guy named "tapstrafingschoolshooter" which didn't age very well due to fairly recent events. EA supports school shooters now?

@S0fts3rv3 just cause there's a filter doesn't mean you get a free pass for being toxic. And just cause there's a filter now doesn't mean past bans for hate speech are unfair now. You got punished for breaking the rules back then and the punishment back then was a ban.
If you find a name that you think is offensive report them there's a big chance that they will receive punishments.

If you find a name that you think is offensive report them there's a big chance that they will receive punishments.

Daze623 Yes, it does actually mean you get a free pass. Because if there was a filter there wouldn't be an opportunity to be toxic to begin with. And in the event that someone were to pull out racist slurs or tell you to kill yourself does me calling them * put me in the wrong? And though it is true that if I had reported him he would face punishment, why should I face punishment for defending myself against someone who's whole account is not allowed to begin with? I still stay strong in my opinion, and believe that apex does an absolutely horrible job with moderation, to this day I still play with people who contribute to hate speech and get absolutely no punishment.

Apex doesn't even listen to further appeals which just rubs extra salt in the wound.

@S0fts3rv3 This post seems a bit sketchy, you don’t get to know who got you banned. And how coincidental everything is, diamond April fools day and level 499? Im not saying it’s impossible, it’s just very improbable.
