Are people still getting banned for using the Overwolf Overlay?

Just wondered, because there seems a lot of controversy regarding this extension (and the way a lot of people used it on launch, and some notable streamers) and then everyone stopped when it seemed that it was removed from the EAC whitelist. Searching these forums indicates that people have been banned from using it. Now with the new anticheat it feels even more like a risk to use any third party software.
