@ZeosTW There are a few things I have noticed. When they roll out huge updates to the game, there are growing pains. This last update for Season 9 was really big. They added an entirely new mode with Arena, a new legend, an updated version of Olympus, a new high impact weapon, and new high impact legend.
That is a TON of new content, and with new content comes new issues. They have to patch those issues and try to prioritize them by what's game breaking. It's not that they are neglecting the basics or fundamentals of the game. Typically a 1-3 weeks after a major update like this, things settle out. Typically by the season split they fix a ton of the issues and work towards balancing things that were out of balance.
They do testing, but it's very hard to create every potential scenario and find every potential problem with small scale testing. Increase the number of people participating in the testing? That has issues in itself. It's also hard to predict how a weapon or legend will work in a game with small scale testing. When the legend/gun is released to millions of players, you'll have some come up with creative ways to use those legends that make them really strong or creative ways to counter those legends and make them really weak.
Just to give an example, when Olympus and Horizon were introduced there were a ton of bugs. You could put Shelia on Cryptos drone, you could launch the tridents to another universe off of loot bins.. Lots of things such as that. It's just part of how games grow.
The Devs work extremely hard and many are working long hours and OT right now trying to fix things. They do this to bring us a ton of new content as quickly as possible.
I see a ton of potential in the Season 9 release lots of great stuff in this update. Just give the Devs some time to get the issues ironed out and I think we'll have a great season.

Ok, but don't you think if the game is doing as well as it is apparently that they should have invested in a bigger team by now? Everything is happening at a snail's pace and some of the fundamental basics like audio still hasn't been fixed. A lot of people are complaining about the game being too hard and the usual response is "practice, play more, do this or that.." Do you not think that people have tried other alternatives already? I used to spend hours upon hours in the firing range to perfect recoil control, movement etc, followed youtube channels and read forums on many topics yet I get the feeling a lot of times opponents are simply better players, especially on pc. How is a 10% or sub 10% win rate acceptable for the amount of effort people put in? If things were truly balanced it should be higher. Ok so you want me to get better, well then I get harder lobbies, don't I? How is it fair that I have a ping of 200 while my opponent has a ping of 9? Who is the better player between us? Hard to know since he will have every advantage over me in a 1v1. How is it fair that I solo q and face a pre made 3 stack of preds? How is it fair that I get bad teammates or sometimes just one or no teammates at all? C'mon man, these aren't small issues and they have been around forever.
Lmao just wrote another post bashing the leaders of Answers HQ and the devs for new & old issues and someone on this forum deleted it within secs/mins. Game is joke and so are these forums. Stop wasting your time Legends. Let the game die so someone else can make a better one.
- @Sand_spitter The main issue with performance issues is they cheaped out and never hired anyone who can actually do it. I think it was before season 4 they hired a "senior" network engineer. Any who works in IT knows titles are pretty loose in what knowledge the holder of said title can actually do.
I am convinced they never had anyone that can really get this game performing good on the servers let alone the networking wise.- @GRiPSViGiL Can't believe things got this bad. Hero to 0...
Whatever happened to the new studio and larger team that as being focused towards apex?
I remember reading this a long time ago, did it ever happen? Because I can't say I'm feeling any difference in the game.
