@Axs5626Sxa5001 I take it that you are also in a 3 stack? Otherwise it doesn't make sense that game would put you on highest difficulty. I have heard SBMM is pretty aggressive for pre-made team.

Do I like SBMM? Not how it works currently. I often get lvl 10-20 on my team, if I don't 1v3 the game is lost. I am not a pro player, I can only do so much. I would rather that game matches me evenly, I find those matches to be more enjoyable.

I have also lost to a fair amount of pre-made teams, sometimes even 4-5 games in a row as a Solo-queue player. And then next game, I win 3-0 without even trying which is again not fun at all.

What's your win rate? From my experience, Arena MMR has the end goal to give you a 50% win rate.

@BaldWraithSimp Yea there is most certainly a huge difference in solo queue and pre mades. I wont go into detail about what ive found with sbmm but it will take into account all 3 members not the highest ranked user in the party. His actual rank will play a role in it dont get me wrong but once you pre party is checking for quite a bit more on the stats.

Yes I am playing in a 3-stack. I have a 36%win rate right now. Not bad considering I’m playing the best players in the world.

But hear me out— isn’t the notion of “leaving everyone with a 50% win rate” ridiculous?

Better players SHOULD win more— shouldn’t they? To each their own I guess. Personally, I do think it’s ridiculous that people who are average (or even lower) are sporting better win rates than people who comprise the top 10% regarding skill.

  @Axs5626Sxa5001 I feel that sbmm doesn't need to be in BR pubs. But in Arena where you go against the same team multiple times, it's necessary for good matchmaking experience. At least a loose SBMM, certainly not as strict as what you face.
  
  But if you Solo-queue, the matchmaking is weird. I certainly get easier lobbies, but my teammates are lvl 10-100 so I have to sweat it out. I have a 52% win rate iirc, but I am as frustrated as you are. I certainly don't agree with '50% win rate' solution, because it isn't making me any happier. That's exactly what I am frustrated with actually, because the game is trying too hard.
  
  I have quit total of 5 games after round 2 in total 90 games, because it's frustrating to babysit a Lvl 10. I am by no means a serial leaver, but sometimes I can't take it.

    While the bulk of my games are with my two friends, I have played a few solo queue games. The majority of these games go like this: I wait substantially longer to get into a game and when I do, I am the random third guy in a match with two people already partied up (as evidenced by their club tag)— so ultimately I end up playing premades no matter how I queue.
    
    I think you said the key words “loose SBMM”. This is probably the best solution in my opinion. It just boggles my mind that there are people who want SBMM to be as strict as possible to ensure equal outcomes. I’m not going to work my butt off to improve if that means I’m not going to see the benefits of that improvement.
