While using bloodhound, I find it a bit annoying to have the crosshair to be almost precisely on the trail marks to show the how manys seconds before enemies were at the location.
I really hope that there could be an option in the settings for Bloodhound that automatically shows the time lapse on trial marks, just make things smoother, so Bloodhound don't have to stop for a while everytime to move the crosshair to check the timer.
I don't know if you are aware but the "evidence" square has a line going round it which degrades the older the evidence is. So if it's a 50% square then the track is 30 seconds old (I think from memory a new trail is 1 minute max, correct me if im wrong) so you can tell without moving over them how old they are. A full outline is a brand new track. The enemy was just there.
The more you play him the more you get used to this.
Hope that helps!
Edit the colours of the tracks denote the colour the enemy had at the start of the game to allow you to see more than one person was there as far as I know.
Thanks Dominic !
I think this really helps !
it is just sometimes you suddenly see two marks of the same colour and you sort of want to see which one is newer and which one is older ?

It's not the colour, as far as I know the colour is the enemy colour from the start. The outline of the marker shows the time expired.
