A major rework I disagree with. When you say that, I hear things like changing abilites and I think the idea of her abilities is fine.
A buff, on the other hand, maybe.
First, I think part of Double Time, since it is a special ability, it should not be slowed by any bullet damage. It does need to be a better passive.
Second, smoke. Smoke has always been pretty crazy good in the past, which is why Bangalore was to me one of the better characters if people knew the game (I don't play her but I love her). Now with the changes in the game, I think other things are causing problems, like Bloodhound scan spam. I mean at one time Bloodhound needed a buff, now he needs a bit more delay on that wall hack. Another problem is vertical characters. It's not so much that you can see through smoke cause its the same Its just that smoke matters a lot more when you all are fighting on the same level. If a character can launch grenades and autofire into the smoke from above, when you have basically no chance to retaliate because you can't see them, that's a problem. If someone was shooting bang into the smoke, even if bang didn't have a thermal sight, you could generally shoot back out of the smoke with a good guess and some game play. Now, higher characters abound where you can't retaliate.
This game has gone vertical, which I don't necessarily mind, but Respawn has to realize that changes the game for a lot of other characters. I've been screaming about Wattson for a while now, and that's before Valkyrie. I don't have high hopes because Respawn's basically ignored Rampart, and the buffs on Crypto and Wattson don't matter, oh and you know the Caustic thing. So I hope the changes come for Bang, but, well, yeah...
I think if they get the smoke back to a better place and make some small adjustments to the double time she might be a decent place. I don't mind her ult not hitting people, that's not really how I use it. I'm simply trying to break up enemy squads or buy time when I use it.

Lets be 100% real here. I`m a long time Bangalore ult, and i consider myself a decent player. I barely play lately, but watch ShivFPS by a lot, but still have a very good game knowledge, and how to use every legend, and its ability, how to outplay a certain legend, how to counter, and to play to my legend strenghts.
Let me state that Bangalore was perfectly fine back at Season 5, before the Event and the drastic changes, and the total power creep of the abilities after that.
In this season Bangalore get a shadow nerf with removing the LP. It just make her even worst choice.
And what people don`t understand is, the strafing animation of some legends, and how this is making a huge impact in the game. Bangalore strafe animation is garbage. Her hitbox is average, but still bigger than Wattson, Wraith, Pathy, Lifeline, Horizon, Octane and so. And all of the above legends have way superior strafing animation compare to her.
This is the first thing.
Let me break her abilities.
Double time - a good one. But its getting trigger when you are on W key + sprinting. Its 2 seconds, but if you know what you are doing, its going to give you wonders, but there is just way better speed abilities than this, like Octane stim, and BH ulty for example.
Smoke Launcher - in a lot of situation this is a 50-50 ability, and can do you wrong even if you use it the right way. And there is million counters to it. Its really work good on Low skill lobbies, the higher the skill, the worst this ability become. For players like Me and ShivFPS, who are Solo Q, and playing mostly Pub its good, but in High level play and/or Competition its a 50-50 in many many situation. You can pretty much **** your team big time with it. Diffq was mad big time on ShivFPS in multiple occasion because of it. And i think ShivFPS tried BH, even tho he is a Bang lover big time.
Ult - its terrible. Its so-so in a low skill level lobbies, but the higher the skill goes, its getting worst. Devs obviously don`t know what they are doing.
Darth you have been very gentle to them. Its pretty much 50% of the legend have a ability that straight up dodge her ult completely.
Wraith phase, Loba bracelet, Path grapple, Octane jump pad, Horizon lift, Wattson ult, and Valkyrie as well.
Not to mention you can just go into building and dodge the whole ult.
And not to even mention that its so slow and the spread is big, the chance its getting you hit its very small, and the damage is low, and you are safe, cause if the enemy is in there, its going to slow them too ....
Her whole kit is good against low tier lobbies, but its getting worst and worst with a better lobbies.
Her are the obvious suggestion, that will make her good, but still balanced properly, without being S tier or so.
Passive - its a good one, and its a passive after all, so if they buff the seconds or the speed, maybe it will get a bit too much. Maybe she shouldn`t be slowed by the bullets that hit her after the passive is active.
Tactical - giving her a sight in the Smoke will be way too much, and be totally unbalance and i`m always fair and unbiased when i`m talking about balance, so that will be crap change, so people who wants this, just want their .... to be alright, and don`t care about overall balance.
Her are my suggestion.
BH scan should reveal her, but just for a quick sec, and then she is gone(if its in the smoke or behind it), same with all the other revealing abilities.
Maybe and just maybe and this need to be tested, if you smoke at someone, add a brief stun with the 10 damage it does. Like 1 sec or so. This or a brief slow in the smoke for the enemies, for like 1 sec.
Her ult - just make it thicker, and that no legends can dodge it, except for the Wattson and Gibraltar dome. Make it hit even if the legends are in the air, like Horizon, Valk, Octane, Path and so.
Make it hit Wraith as well during a phase. It have enough time to move away from it, and no ability should be make you completely skip it.
And the other thing that will be good is that make Bangalore takes no damage, and no slow if she is hit by the rocket. And by saying Bangalore i mean the Bangalore that do the work, not all Bang in game. Just make her invulnerable to her rocket, and to not be slowed.
This changes and she will be rock solid, but balanced and fair.

Because once you make 1 legend do things to legends in the air or during a active ability then everyone wants for all legends. So ults touching people in the air completely destroys how they counter certain things at certain times. That is quite a drastic change and would be devastating to those legends.

How exactly ? And why didn`t they think how stupid and useless Bangalore ult is, by pretty much giving half of the cast a get out of jail card against her ult.
How stupid is for Horizon to lift her in the middle of the rockets and stay in there without being touched ....
And not just her, but half of the cast.
My main problem again is the certain ability, that totally bypass her ult, which should not be the case. They should have think about that.
And lets be real most common legends - Octane, Wraith, Horizon, Valkyrie now, they all get a free pass on her ult. This would be acceptable if let say they are using their ult so they can dodge Bangalore ult, but they are using a 20sec CD tactical to bypass a 3 minutes ultimate ....
Absolutely terrible design.
@WreckingVi, i alone have more than 6k kills with Bangalore, having in mind that i pretty much played Season 4 and Season 5 till the middle, and after that i just come for a few days/maybe a week to see how the things are on this account exclusively.
Pretty sure the other 2 Bangalore in the thread are playing more regularly and have higher kills/matches played.
So trying to give us suggestion to watch someone, which everyone here probably watched for a plenty of time already is just ridiculous.
You ain`t talking with some beginners, you know ?
And Bangalore atm is pretty weak, esp with the latest event. There is just so so much better legends for the stuff you will ever need on using her.
