Blisk legend concept

Blisk

Class: Recon

Title: Mobile warfare expert

Passive: Information extraction

Ability: Completing a finisher on enemies scans all other enemies of that squad for 5 seconds.

Notes: scans are dot scans, not body highlights, to avoid any scan-frustration.

Tactical: pulse blade

Cooldown: 30s

Ability: a throwing knife that scans the surrounding area in a large radius and scans enemies for 1 second, with 3 seconds in between scans. Lasts for a total of 9 seconds (3 scans) and can be destroyed. Has 1 hp and scans are only dots, not body highlights. Has a long throwing and scanning range. It has all the signature pulse blade sounds and visual effects from Titanfall 2.

Notes: very similar to bloodhound’s tactical, however the pulse blade can be destroyed and locates enemies for a very short time, as a trade-off it has a long duration and can be thrown far.

Ultimate: Armoured personnel carrier

Cooldown: 3 min

Ability: Calls down an APC just like a care package.

APC is a trident without a speed boost; however, all embarked players are housed safely inside meaning they do not have their bodies out in the open.

All players except the driver can heal while inside the APC.

Only this legend is able to drive his APC, everyone else can only be a passenger.

There can only exist one APC at a time, using this ability again will destroy the existing APC wherever it may be.

Players in the APC have the same damage reduction as the trident.

The APC has a much lower acceleration compared to the trident and makes a loud noise when moving but can reach the same maximum speed as the trident.

Notes: very similar to the trident, however it does not have a speed boost, it is however better at allowing the team to safely move about. Dropping down the APC also makes Titanfall themed sounds.

Legend strategies:

Use the survey beacon to scan for enemies, then call in the APC to hunt down the revealed teams. Use the pulse blade to provide additional reconnaissance and use the finisher to hunt down the last remaining enemies.

The APC also provides a faster way to get into the ring and secure the best spot. In other game modes, the APC provides ways to move allies across the map, much like Valkyrie’s ultimate.

Personal notes:

Obviously, I am a huge fan of adding vehicles to apex legends, and I proposed something very similar to this last time. The main difference was that my previous legend concept had its entire kit revolve around their APC which also had the ability to revive people as an ambulance and had a turret on top to shoot enemy players with. Now I limited my APC concept as simply an ultimate ability that is an almost perfect copy of the trident.

The main reason for this is that the more I thought about it, the more I realised adding a high HP vehicle to apex legends with a turret on top would divert too much from the core gunplay gameplay loop of apex legends.

It can be said that I was extremely hyped about the idea, probably to a fault, as the developers have likely noticed. Please don’t hate me for my enthusiasm, sometimes I can’t help myself, I just love vehicles and machines.
