I know this makes me predictable but here goes:
My favorite POI is wherever everyone else isn't.
My favorite drop is the point on the map farthest away from where everyone else has landed.
The drop I hate the most is the one executed by my squadmates who believe that if you're not in a fight within seconds of landing then there's something wrong with player/game/world.
Detecting a pattern here?
And this season has made all this even worse with some very loose matchmaking that guarantees aggressive enemies and evenly distributed drops. I drop late, far off the line, and on the edge of the map, and I'm still pinned in between three enemy squads. I've started playing Valk because why fight the power? She's the newer, more powerful Pathfinder and I can't pretend that there is any other way to navigate this map, at least until matchmaking settles down. Not really holding my breath on that one, but time will tell.
- hayhor3 years agoHero@reconzero That's not loose MM. That's people spreading out a bit. In reality you shouldn't be able to land miles from every other team. There should be a team at every POI.

These evenly distributed drops are a feature of welterweight players, of which I am, I think, not one. So if I'm ending up in their lobbies, something that has only happened rarely, and usually mid-season, then matchmaking must be looser. That or it somehow thinks that two kills per ten matches and one win per thirty somehow makes me platinum.- OldTreeCreeper3 years agoHero+
Bronze and silver lobbies have had a good spread out of players, more so now in silver one at the moment.

Stop thinking of her as a Better Pathfinder and more as the only Legend who even tried to read the manual on the mobility packs. 😉
I was really hoping when they brought in Ash we'd have a proper mobility pack user... but no. Seems the reboot made her forget she was a Pilot once.

Oh, I'm fine grappling as long as you're my Valk. As opposed to my randoms who insist on wandering the map in search of their own rapid and meaningless deaths.
But I have to say, having played her now for a dozen matches or so, I can see the appeal. She does everything effortlessly whether you're a defensive or offensive player. And that ult... just wow. Push two buttons, pull a trigger, count to three, and get out of jail free. Pass go. Collect $200.
She's amazing.- Kyldenar3 years agoSeasoned Ace@reconzero I play her because she reminds me the most of the movement from Titanfall 2. Which is why I say instead of nerfing her they need to lift everyone else UP.
She needs to loose the Recon stuff though, including the scan on drop. She's an attacker, hands down.
