buff gibraltar

his dome is needing a buff, make it have a smaller cool down time. when the fight starts gibraltar gets pummeled so he throws down his dome, then before the cooldown stops his team needs the dome a...

@gg123xyz Unfortunately you'll have to develop a new playstyle with Gibraltar's abilities. I'd advise running/dodging to protect your dome or make a quick decision to run/fight. Unless you're playing with your own squad chances are you won't make good use of his abilities and will have to dive fights without them more often than you'd like.

@iBlockHead The situation he's describing involves him being ambushed and forced to use his dome. At which point that ability is now out for the rest of the fight. If a teammate needs to be protected/healed/revived then they're screwed since Gibby was forced to protect himself. Given how much he's been buffed this is a fair weakness for him to have but it does make the character uncomfortable to play. its fair but not fun.

The level 4 helmet also doesn't feel as useful on Gibraltar since his buff. The Ult charges fast enough that I feel like I don't need it and the cool down on his dome went from 20 seconds to 30 so the helmet won't allow him to use it more than once per fight. Its helpful buts its 'meh' for Gibraltar in season 3.

@heme725 I still stand with my point. If you need to use it more than once, you're taking too long, even if you are being ambushed.

Ambushed just means you pop the shield right away, take cover and heal up while peeking out and taking shots at the enemy to allow your team to heal and keeping them back so they can't all rush together.

I've been in all kinds of fights with Gib and I now understand how big his dome is and the height which it covers in order to better position the shield for CQC to only protect me or to adjust my throw in order to reach a teammate and provide them with cover.

Again you have 2 other teammates who should be using their tact/ult to also help the team and position everyone in a better spot.

Gib is balanced enough right now and the speed heal/rez is a major part of it to allow you to revive those players who made a mistake and bring them back into the fight faster.
