TF2 has enjoyed a resurgence since Apex launched, so I think TF3 will do much better commercially. TF 2 was one of the free PS Plus games last December on PS4. It was drawing 80-100k during peak hours that month. It still was drawing 3-4k off peak hours this summer. This is double what it was doing before Apex. The Steam release has been a huge success too.

@Koochi-Q 5 with respawns rate of productivity lol. 😛

I just wonder what the story is gonna be like. Will it tie in with apex legends I hope it does.
- 5 years ago@babyaga239 Why would you want that =_= I really hope it doesn’t. Let apex do apex story and let TF do TF story. There’s already so much untapped potential... no need to make it murky by adding Apex stuff in the mix.
@hayhor & @MandatoryIDtag you guys are mean xD - 5 years ago
@Koochi-Q I want more brutal Titan executions. IMO the executions for Titanfall 2 were really lackluster compared to 1, and maybe that's cause they were zoomed out and not first person like in TF1.
IMO the only good executions were Scorch Prime (which could've used a little more over the top violence if I'm being honest) Northstar, Legion, Tone Prime (which again, more violence), and Monarch's non-battery thief execution.
- 5 years ago@pastaclown I don’t really remember the executions all that much except the neck snapper :P If I play a game, unless it’s truly spectacular I don’t remember most of it, just that I enjoyed it or not.
I know I really enjoyed TF2, but mostly due to the SP :P - 5 years ago
@Koochi-QYeah TF3 needs to have its own story that ties into what they built in TF2. But I do think it would be smart of them to tie in some Apex lore. That would help attract the much larger Apex Legends player base which can only be a good thing for the future of TitanFall in general. They've laid groundwork for that with the Season 5 and Season 6 quest stories.
It helps that the weapons in Apex are taken directly from TitanFall and behave exactly the same. Also Apex Legend tactical abilities are based on existing pilot tactical abilities. So the transition for an Apex player should be pretty seamless. They would just have to get used to the pilot movement and dealing with Titans.
- 5 years ago@babyaga239 hopefully theres a bit of apex in TF3 but i really dont want them to forgot about cooper and BT and just throw wraith and caustic in there.
- 5 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX I do acknowledge that with the added Apex fans the TF sales will see a huge boost but they don’t really need it for 2 reasons:
1 TF is already a massively popular series but the only thing that held it back is executive decisions in both cases. TF1 being console exclusive for Xbox, while ps had the bigger playerbase (not complaining tho, but it’s the truth)
2 Squeezing TF2 in between RDR2 and CoD Black Ops... (who the F does that?!) while 2 other high profile games were couple weeks behind.
Since the launch even you could see public interest and with every sale ppl got it. So I know a lot of players want to play it. Mostly players who want fast mobility. If you get the core Apex audience involved, what will that lead to? Camping in TF, ppl saying mobility is too high (I can guarantee this one) as the flow of TF is higher than Apex could ever spit out, and ppl asking for TF to be more Apex-like.
Thats why I want the 2 titles to stay that. 2 titles that share the same universe. A little lore implementation or easter eggs is fine, but as soon as you start putting 1 legend in the TF game, ppl will ask for more and there should be a distinct separation in my book. Exactly as @RustedYoda mentions.
From what I can remember, the weapons don’t feel the same... then again I mostly played with the car 😜 - 5 years ago
@Koochi-Q Let them camp i say! It'll be fun picking them apart at a pace they can't keep up with lol.
Apex almost feels slow motion compared to titanfall. 😛
- 5 years ago@hayhor I never said that! You playstation ppl always read what you want! Stop misinterpreting stuff. It’s not healthy! Just like I’m not healthy... maybe thats cause I also have a ps... so if I go one console only... I’ll be healthy?
Hot diggedy!
@MandatoryIDtag you know it. But it’ll def happen. Just look what happend to CoD. There were always campers. But noobtube campers and sniper campers were nothing to what it is now. It all happend after the introduction of BRs...
But yea, let them camp so I can zipline my way towards them. And indeed it really feels really slow in comparison but ppl who have never played TF will not understand and think Apex is high mobility XD. It’s highest for BRs I’ve seen so far, but compared to TF... snoozefest! - 5 years ago
@Koochi-Q I have to agree that titanfall is the highest mobility game I have ever seen I just love zooming around the map with my volt at 60 mph. It wouldnt take much for apex fans to be able to play titanfall 3 only thing would be mobility which they would probably have a heart attack after seeing someone running on a wall at about 60 mph while the abillitys are a little different im pretty sure everyone will just use grapple or stim. I personally felt like the cloak was bad but then again I am a veteran of the series on playstation and can pretty much spot a guy who has camouflaged and kill him really quickly.
- 5 years ago@babyaga239 That’s the thing about us longtimers of a series. Unless a dev tweaks stuff in patches/updates or new iterations of a series, we already know what stuff looks like. So if someone cloaks and thinks they’re safe and stop watching around... they get their neck snapped. If someone uses grapple predictably, shot to the head or if someone slides... crushed by titandrop (how I loved doing that xD).
It’s the same with CoD and battlefield. People who went from BF to CoD said the game was too fast while vice versa said too slow. But if you stayed with the same franchise for years you’d say it felt just right. - 5 years ago
@Koochi-Q Im gonna be honest when I started playing apex I didnt know it was made by the same studio but I didnt know it was in the titanfall universe so I actually thought huh it is a actually good rip off of one of my favorite games of all time. It wasnt until I saw the trailers did I realize I realize that it was in the same universe. I wonder if they will add some of the ability's and weapons they added to apex. I can only hope they wont decide to sandwich t3 between two major titles.

@babyaga239 The vast majority of apex weapons have been ripped straight from titanfall, along with the abilities. I'm not sure many of the new abilities would transfer into a arcade shooter particularly well due to the fact they're geared around a BR format.
I have a feeling we'll just see the old familiars plus a couple of new ones. A new class or two of titan and a whole bunch of maps. That doesn't bother me though, the games great as it is currently and there isn't really that much to improve on.

Do you think that we will eventually get titanfall 2 remastered sometime in the future.
