Can i get banned for using the 120 fov ?
Just been wondering if i can use it without getting my acc banned as i have to go into my profile files and do it frim there i just want reassuance that i wont get banned for doing it lol

@void7520 you are talking about editing a file on your PC, yes you can get banned. Even if it is only a text file, the program might reset the setting or detect you made physical changes. It is akin to cracking the binaries, just because you know how. Changing the field of view to higher than the limit gives one the unfair advantage.

what i dont get is there is a few youtubers that use it and also bloodhounds ult and octane stim both increase your fov in game to 120 anyway, so i dont see why i shouldnt be able to use it all the time
If you're able to change it in .cfg files then it's technically allowed from what I've seen.
They blocked off commands that would be unfair, so whatever you're able to do in the .cfg files should most likely be allowed.
Of course they might've forgotten to block some commands in there, though IMO that's on them for not blocking it.
Pretty sure it's safe to use it, as you're theoretically not really violating any rules, making or editing config files is allowed.
makes sense, loads of top youtubers use configs for like boost in framerate and loads of them also show how to get that 120 fov, i dont see it as an advantage in any way, as anyplayer can do it. its so simple. its an extra 10 fov. its the smallest change ever. i only want to use it as it would make my movement feel smoother and faster, but it actually doesnt make it smoother or faster it just makes it feel like that so there really is no advantage with it, just thought id go ask some other peoples oppinions on this too.

lol first let them start banning the actual blatant cheater.
no chance u gonna get banned for cfg files of any type. u only cant use it on algs.
