Since launch they have stated this can't be possible because of the way Apex was built from the start.
You should all know this by now, its been more than a year.
If anything, just hope that maybe on their next great game, they learn from this and implement it.
This is called being lazy. Apex is a man made product, if it's man made, there is a way. Tho, about the transfer of progress I guess it will be hard depending on how it was made. But, I just want cross platform play. Did they ever say that cross platform is not possible?

@Legendrias Maybe the "big PP" community should delve deep into an internet browser and search for their answers there instead of necro'ing redundant posts on the forums lol.
During development of apex, due to the way the system had been designed crossplay wasn't possible. Probably due to things like sony being reluctant to play ball before 2018 with crossplay features on its titles and the difference in anti cheat technology between PC and console.
Respawn HAVE CONFIRMED they're working to bring crossplay to Apex legends however are unable to give a solid release date.
Cross purchases and Cross saves will never be available, respawn have stated this with certainty, due to the way the game was developed early on...and this can't be worked around.
