can I use special mouse and keyboard on algs?

I would like to inquire whether gaming peripherals such as the Razer Tartarus and Aerox 9, which feature additional key mapping functions, can be used in the algs. I am specifically asking about the ability to assign functions to extra buttons, without utilizing macro functions. Would simple button remapping also be prohibited?
