Can you please deal with higher rank players intentionally jumping into low rank

This is creating a lot of problems for ranked on numerous levels that go well beyond being forced to play against highly skilled people.

1. I can't even make posts for looking for groups anymore. Every single time I do, I get platinum, diamond and predators wanting to abuse the queue timer and join gold or silver. So I'm given two options, abuse the system or play with randoms. Neither are prospects I'm a fan of, abusing the system could lead to bans if you company decides to get with the program and deal with this. Playing with randoms is frustrating because they often have no idea what they are doing.

Randoms don't know how to drop from the drop ship often leading to early drops and late arrivals. Which turns into no loot for me and getting slaughtered by squads who do know how to drop properly. That ends up costing me RP and creates a really unpleasant gaming experience.

The option? I can either let the team die and hope to find an obscure area where you can piece together enough loot to camp up into the top 7 and break even on RP. Then there are the people who simply don't know how to play.. Just had a Wattson do a hot drop to capital city. It would have been great, if they had a mic and would have put up fences on the top of the parking garage structure at all the access points. We would have killed 2 teams easily. But noooo, I'm forced to play with a random who's got no mic and has no clue how to play wattson. Now this typically is not a huge deal to me, if they have a mic and I can communicate with them. But I can't with most randoms an it leads to really bad play that ends up costing me RP.

2. It's no different then the Alt-F4 stunt, it allows them to gain easy RP. There is no penalty for them to do it and your company is refusing to deal with it. So they join Silver at the exact same RP cost of Platinum or Diamond. Yet get to slaughter lower skill players and gain easy RP.

So either do mass bans, fix your queue timer, or change your point/ranking system. If you change the point/ranking system make Silver point system independent of Gold. Maximum Silver RP gain be let's say 16 RP or so but make the ranks be every 40RP instead of 400 (for silver). That way if a higher rank player buys in at 48 RP they take a huge RP loss even if they win the round. That would discourage it.

@DarthValtrex Mind letting us know how they abuse Rank?

Like how is someone purposely going into the lower Ranks? If you party up with anyone, everyone gets placed into the highest Ranked lobby. Only reason they would be placed lower is if there are not enough people in the higher Ranks which can't be helped sometimes.

@iBlockHead Basically you get the two lower ranks in the lobby. The high rank player leaves the lobby. The two lower rank players start the queue timer. You then send an invite to the higher rank player at a specific point/time during the queue. You'll end up in what ever rank the 2 lower ranks players are in. If you don't time the invite right, you won't end up in Silver or the lower rank. But if you do time it right you will.

Do you play on xbox? I do and I can't create looking for groups for ranked it's so rampant. Every single time I create one I get countless Diamond and Predator players trying to get me to do it. I don't want too though, I don't like being carried to W's by other players. I want to improve my skills as I climb the rankings.

I do think there is also problem with the Match Making system. I do occasionally get a random gold or platinum paired into a silver with me via random squad creation. But it's rare..

@DarthValtrex Yea I play on xbox. I don't think I've seen anyone do this or ask me to do it. Given I'm Plat but I also sometimes get mixed with 2 silvers or gold players if I get on late at night or early morning.

It seems as though the pool for matchmaking doesn't get filled as much at night or morning vs the afternoon.

As for the issue at hand, it does seem like a problem if that's how they're getting into lower ranks. I guess a solution would simply be to not allow anyone new to join after initiating start in lobby.

@iBlockHead The same and I don't mind the unintentional in which it happens because of a slow server. It's not a huge deal, I just had it happen with a gold player. We liked the guy so we invited him to play more rounds with us. How ever, every round after we invited him we were in Gold. But that is sort of different, we are the ones asking for punishment and it's the higher rank player risking the RP by bringing us into the higher rank with him.

Where I'm getting frustrated is when I want to play ranked with a pre-made squad but have no friends of similar rank on. I try to do the looking for group and can't get a team of silvers together (soon to be gold only 100RP from it). But when I hit gold I'll want to do similar, put together teams of gold ranked players. It's a lot easier to make top 5 and win if we can communicate.

@DarthValtrex Completely understand. All my friends are currently silver or bronze and they fear playing ranked with me thinking it'll be a slaughter fest but in reality, I just need the communication vs pinging which is slower and harder to use in the middle of battles.

If you ever want to play ranked though (might soon be Diamond) drop your GT and i'll add/invite ya.

@iBlockHead Oh I agree I can survive in higher ranks. Conflict avoidance and intelligent third partying, you’ll get RP and top 5 placement. You have to adjust play based on your trams skill and adjust to it. I made it top 3 solo in gold, my squad went down and I ran. I camped and third party sniped. Taking out those who I could

@DarthValtrex If they did it like everyone does - stop the queue if party changes (join/leave/crash) [which is common sense - you don't want the game to suddenly start if a teammate just crashed...] - there would never even have been a problem like this.

Well, software wouldn't be software if it couldn't be manipulated 🙂
Apparently there's a trick to game the system where the high rank players join the low ranked player's lobby instead.
It's pretty sad.

Finally somebody show us how they cheat:
1. Gutter tier (bronze/silver) player start rank.
2. While collecting players (before reach 60) and about to reach 60, they invite platinum or diamond or predator.
3. Rank start based on initial player rank who initiate the game (gutter tier rank, instead of higher rank). // BUG.
The reason is once gutter tier start queue, the server already decided he is on guttter tier rank queue. When team mate join, the server doesn't recognize team mate is higher rank and should restart the queue. So it keep going. Even if you stop the queue, it still running in the background and doesn't change.
Easiest fix is:
1. NOT allow invite while you're waiting in Queue & you have to stop the queue.
2. When stop the Queue, server restart the Queue (currently it still running in the background).
3. Let them wait again based the highest rank queue.
Can you ask Dev to address this ASAP please? This's a SERIOUS CHEAT, severly destroy the integrity of rank system, as bad as ALT + F4.
Please BAN them as well.

@asukojoHmm, I've seen some diamond trails in bronze a few times, but they died rather fast 🙂. Wouldn't call it a big deal though. I'd have Apex predators forbid from entering bronze, silver and maybe gold, or have apex / diamond players lose a hefty amount of RPs if dying in ranked matches lower than plat.
