@lightning_5o It's an impossible situation basically.
You either;
A) drag players into lobbies they can't handle.
B) create a smurf and try and play like a bot so your team isn't out of of depth, which is not only a breach of TOs but highly boring for you.
C) accept that you can't play a team based game with friends of different skill levels (which is a load of crap frankly).
@GH0STEDbyME This is exactly why I say it's an impossible situation lol, I made a smurf account to play apex with my partner wayyyyy back, as she isn't a gamer so basically calling her a bot would be a compliment. XD
Anyway I literally tried my best to play terribly and it was still too much for that lobby, and my skill level is lower than the OP's. So if he was to try that now he'd undoubtedly end up catching a ban for smurfing.
I just find it bizarre that apex has such an aggressive focus on team play, and yet its also designed so that you can't just have a casual game with friends.
Perhaps if ranked was better incentives pubs would he more friendly for this kind of play? As it stands a gun charm,a badge, and a trail you get for 1 season kinda sucks.
@lightning_5oI didn't say that. Plus with the amount of games I've played since launch you could say I'm probably closer to that timeframe than I care to admit.
They should do a separate lobby for newer players like they do on other games considering lets face it the only thing we have atm is what? A lvl requirement for ranked xD That doesn't really do anything to protect newbs.

It's a tricky situation because they need to be up against skilled enough people to get a good handle on the game whilst still being able to have fun. SBMM is supposed to help push this idea but it kinda doesn't work as intended. This is why people always scream about master/preds/20K dmg/ 20 bomb players being in their lobbies. In the same sense how are you supposed to get better if you're getting beamed by APEX gods every match? xD

I'm completely with you on this. I hate this games SBMM and it just seems to get worse. Idk if it's from my partner and I getting better but it's just all over the place. I honestly this season has been the most frustrating since launch. And I don't play on the same lvl as Masters/Preds just to clarify yet my lobbies are littered with them.
When I started I was awful. I got destroyed by great players. It motivated me to practice more or motivated me to watch YouTube videos and things to practice. I busted my * hit pred, masters etc and my reward for that is I can’t even play with my loved ones or any of my friends for that matter except my ranked friends. I get from a business standpoint why they do it bc I make up the 2% but it’s incredibly frustrating
