@Marge010 I’m with the majority of player base and fine with the Caustic nerf. Apex at its core is a shooting skill game with some character abilities mixed in. Caustic was the opposite (requires little shooting skill due to OP abilities). This will balance his character some but it still doesn’t change the fact he’s a camping type of character that slows down the flow of the game (Apex is meant to be be fast paced - especially to avoid 3rd parties).
Of course you would only pick caustic for his gas, why else would you use him?? He has no other benefits!
Why are people all of a sudden complaining about characters having abilities and that it should just be about being a gun game?? I've seen a lot of others mention this in the past few weeks.
This game has always had character abilities from the start and that's what separates apex from other shooters so why are people starting to complain now?? Otherwise without abilities we might as well just play call of duty or another shooter.
Caustic has always had gas and was more powerful before yet 2 years later people suddenly start complaining?!?
- @Marge010 No one is complaining about abilities being in this game. We are merely pointing out that this game is still a game about weapons. Yes, every character has their abilities and theme. But that shouldn't be their main thing.
We can all however agree on one thing here, and that's that we nerfed a character who - in this sense - needed it the least. I'm still frustrated being sucked in by arc-star prepped black holes from a girl who has more mobility than Octane.- @Peri_Longbow_plz so lets look at people tacticals like bloodhound , pathfinder Q, and octane, how would you like it if you took 1 bullet AND YOUR Q WAS CANCELLED. You know why don't why just make it so when ever you shoot Valkyrie when shes flying through the air her ability to Jet pack is cancelled! When octane uses his Q and is shot its turned off and disabled for 10 seconds! I got a idea lets make gibraltars shield only Absorb Damage from one source or player and then it despawns! Abilities don't matter right?

Caustic is now unplayable. My Main after 1500h in 2021. THX for forcing to play Fortnite
@xDarth-MurrayxCaustic wasnt a no skill character before. As a caustic main I think the gas tick damage nerf will not end up having much affect on me. For me it was about coming up on people throwing the bomb on them and shooting or prepping an area to fall back to. They wrecked his best offensive ability when they took away the ability to throw traps thru windows so if they want a game that flows better, put that back in.
Players that sat in and died to gas damage are poor and like to whine tho.
- @hayhor You know it's called trap for a reason? Traps are set up beforehand not on the fly. They fixed a bug and that's about it. Shouldn't expect aggressiveness out of a character that is made for Campers!!😉
- @xDarth-Murrayx If this game is all about shooter with abilities thrown in - explain Seer than?
This game is farthest from shooter its ever been. This is a reveal meta game only at this point. So if Seer's abilities are what they are, then I understand a caustic main being bothered by constant nerfs to his abilities. Completely.
