These patch notes were pretty questionable in this way. I'm only vaguely familiar with who Reptar is, but making a joke of calling him/her out by name is also a bit of a bad look. I suggest they drop the folksy, familiar manner and stick to the facts.

you are confusing two different things with each other or misunderstanding something. Reptar is a pro who found a direct sightline from his spawn on Phase runner to enemies and got a knock, so they patched that by adding some extra trees. Hence his name in the patch notes as friendly banter. You are taking this way out of context
