I find caustic annoying as a team mate when he blocks the door I want to go through in the middle of a fire fight when he has gone inside first.
At least Wattson I can pass through.
Caustic and Gibby are fun characters to play defensively, but even with % damage reduction due to character size or even if their hitboxes are similar to others that they are so easy to spot and track at distance. Even though they do run at same speed.

- @PeterN_UK That is a bad caustic and is avoided easily with good communication. Blocking doors off is pretty important if late game in a spot with 3 or more doors.
- @PeterN_UK I rarely block doors as caustic especially if my team is outside. the only time I do it is when we are all in the same building and trying to control the flow of the fight.
Plus I want the enemies in my gas, so I tend to put them next to the doors just enough so they walk into it. I feel like better caustic mains do this. They use the gas in three ways 1. is to cover for revives/healing and 2. they are attempting to get the enemy in it. 3. is to cover flanks and give your team a place to fall back to for healing.
Blocking doors is really camper style play and should only be done when reviving or your team is in serious trouble.- @DarthValtrex This. I see so many Caustics that block all door ways while their teammate is outside. I had one of this teammate and it pretty much got me killed.
- @Daze623 I have run into it as well. I have also had them run in a door and close it behind them then hold it.. I end up getting melting as I pound on the door. Granted not just caustics do that...
But yeah, placement nears doors should really be just inside of the door way perferably on a side that does not have a line of sight from another angle so the trap can't be shot down easily.
You'll still control the building. They will either push into the gas and die at the door or set the trap off and run. So it accomplishes the same goal without sacrificing mobility.
