CHARACTER CONCEPT: MANIFEST!

NAME: Manifest

AKA The master of manipulation on the battlefield. Cloaked in a weathered brown poncho, Manifest exudes an air of mystery. His augmented jeweler's eye and rift gloves are his tools of deception, granting him a deceptive control!

With his jeweler's eye, Manifest can scan deathboxes from afar and with his rift gloves looting their contents makes loba look like child's play

Manifest's tactical ability takes places concealed under his poncho, he expertly tinkers together purple attachments traps. Placing these devious surprises on guns, Manifest can choose to make the whole weapon shimmer with purple rarity or selectively add them to specific slots. The bombs explode upon the enemy's trigger pull, inflicting damage depending on the amount placed on the gun a noise is triggered when the enemy goes to shoot noise last long enough for the character to say something like "huh oh shoot" roughly 2.6 secons *cool down about 20 seconds per slot 2 slots fill max*

Manifest's ultimate ability. He begins tinkering to upgrade a chosen item of his own to purple or higher rarity!

Manifest's abilities come with calculated cooldowns, requiring strategic decision-making. His deceptive nature and control over loot make him a force to be reckoned with!

  • And I honestly think this would be an amazing  edition to to apex series I even thought maybe he could just drop the attachment instead of adding it to the gun itself or he puts it into phinex kit or something

  • @yougothoozled I like the idea of attachment-traps, not sure how practical they'd be or what would happen once the trap goes off (does the enemy have i.e. a purple mag afterwards? Or nothing?)

The issue I see is that people never like it when they lack control, so if you for example pick up a purple R99 dropping what ever else you have only to have it explode and become a naked gun, that means you do not only take damage but may have also downgraded massively and wasted time. The gun you had originally might now be in the storm, impossible to get back.

I like the idea because it is new, and experimenting with the systems in place is a good thing rather than just copy-pasting with slight variation.

I made a "Loba alternative" concept earlier as well and this is different. I would perhaps expand on the ultimate a little bit. Upgrading an attachment can be good, but maybe he could do something more? Or expand on how the interaction would occur? Perhaps he has connections and can send for a sponsored supply drone after picking up X amount of materials?
Maybe the box under the drone glows green? Perhaps it is a deathbox flown in by a trained dragon on the maps that has those? Dropping it nearby the team.

    Just some ideas.
  • No the gun would explode or the attachment would blow somthing would most definitely explode lol u need to go over and re read the description

@yougothoozledDo you mean that the gun gets completely destroyed?

Or that you get an attachment, but also that the enemy who uses it will take damage when the first bullet is fired from the gun? Then afterwards it works?

    Or:

    1: manifest sees an attachment
2: he uses his skill to make it look better, but also boobytrapping it

3: enemy picks it up thinking it's a better attachment than what he/she has
4: enemy uses the gun, it explodes dealing damage

5: the attachment is reverted back to what ever it was before Manifest used his skill on it.

*If it reverts, I would make so that if it replaces an attachment it could not downgrade. But if the slot was empty from the start (meaning there was no attachment, like a stock or magazine) the attachment is reverted to the original tier.

You could possibly have more damage on higher tiers of attachments to give a small bonus for not picking them up yourself.

  • At first I was thinking the whole gun is destroyed but got me thinking that was way to OP so I figured I'll go with he makes the attachments and drops them

    Enemy picks up attachment

Enemy goes to shoot gun and soon as it happens they'd hear a quick beeping indicating they've been hoodwinked

Still I think all around its a good idea

Passive he's able to heal his own sheild outside but he can't be moving

Tactical he's able yo make attachments (barrel stabilizer and such) and when it comes to taking a shot a deny with noise happens and the attachment explodes causing damage

Ult is he's able to make his sheild purple or purple out his attachments
