Lately the game has been persistently bad moreso than not. I'm not even referring to the bugs. The servers are so bad the game has become unplayable; I've had at least 3 - 4 slowmotion games in th...
@1ronKeys any way to back up captures to an external drive or usb? Could reload them later.
@1ronKeys you haven't filled the drive with captures have you? My son did that on a new pc with a huge drive. 😃
@OldTreeCreeper 👀 shhhh
Pretty much. But i have over 500gb free space. And console will tell me there's no space to load a game or install update.
Have an external for all my games now so no update issue.
@1ronKeys i had an old windows visa pc that i kept going for years and its still useful.
I ran windows from one drive (boot) with no data on that drive. This drive i defragmented the fragmented files as windows updates, about once a month and the whole drive about every 6 months. Keeping the files defragmented made a significant difference to the running speed of windows. What i had discovered is that if a drive was over 50% full of both Windows and data, there was a significant slow down.
I used 2 other drives, salvaged from sky boxes, 1 for programs and 1 for data. I didnt defrag the data drive and only defragged the program drive on updates.
I used ccleaner to keep the rubbish on the drives under control and windows cleaner to get rid of obsolete updates.
I used a usb as readyboost to pep things up a bit too.
I updated windows from vista to W10.
Maby it would help you to do something similar, run the games from the console memory only and the captures onto an external drive, as in my mind the other way round has to be slower.
@1ronKeys Sorry, I dont know enough about your ps to comment on the running software.
But if you reformat the drive and put everything back on I think you would be in the same situation. If you just put the running software (like windows) and just your 2 or 3 favorite games back on the main drive i think you would notice a performance improvement. Everything else on the external drive inc captures.
