Colour blind mode

I'm colour blind and I play apex almost everyday, I love the game but my ability to communicate to my teammates whether a shield is blue or purple annoys me. I don't

know how you can fix this problem but mabye there could be a small number on each body shield eg. A blue Evo would have a number 2 on it in white. However the issue with that is that when I  am shooting someone and the body shield icon comes up to notify me what level their armour is I wouldn't know if that was the shield or the damage I was dealing.

Is there already a solution?

Does anyone else struggle to differentiate between blue and purple armour?

Thank you for your time, this means a lot to me!!

  • @LetPepper977443 Yes there are some settings you can try in the options menu. How to get there kind of depends on your platform but basically just go into the options and look around the video settings. There are different color schemes try different ones until you find what works for you a good way to test this is in the firing range, you can try different settings until you find what is ideal.

I have tried them and none of them really worked for me but I will definitely give it another try.

  • I'm colorblind, too and have this exact same problem.  Unfortunately I already changed my colorblind setting (I think I selected Protonopia (sp?); I could be wrong with what I selected).  Anyhow, whichever option I chose helped me distinguish between things the best, however, I still find the blue/purple shield confusing at a distance.

On a somewhat side note - a buddy of mine watched a recording of mine and said Gold shields come across white to him with my settings.  Whereas for me, it's a vibrant yellow.  Funny how colorblindness works.
