@ooootoxicoooooThis goes along with my post earlier on that island map with the rocky terrain, if you drop too far away from where the final ring is you can forget about winning the match or finishing in the top 5, it's just too many rocks to run around and up and down hills to climb. That's the one map that doesn't do good with the new ring speed. Also, the valleys bunch all the teams together so that they kill each other off and then the survivors die to the ring and leave like 5 squads left. For next season I hope they slow down the ring speed, the season I came in on, the one right before the revenant reborn promo, had the just right amount of speed to me.

I know you all are going to hate me for this:
The ring speed right now is just fine, you do have to be aware if you have dropped far away from the next ring, loot less or faster and not wait till the last second to move to the next ring.
A good IGL will be able to help the team with this, if you are playing with Randoms then one of you will have to IGL or just make that choice to move on their own.
If the ring is killing you a lot then it is more than likely a poor judgment/decision making reason/s and not necessarily the ring.
My problem is with the ring damage, I actually think it does not do enough damage, getting caught in the storm should bring big penalties and not be a place one can survive in and play in for extended periods of time.

Had this guy the other day asking, in French, if I spoke French. To which I answered "why would I speak French?" and muted him. Naturally got him as a teammate again two games later.
Anyway, it's just annoying that you have to spend all game running, and for some reason when ring 2 and 3 are closing, there's always 1-2 teams who insist on fighting you outside of zone, so the winning team just ends up dying to ring.
They have to give outer-POI teams time to loot, fight, and rotate, like in the before-time.

There are Evac Towers that you can find in loot drops all over the map. They are strong enough to have rendered Valkyrie's ult almost useless. I suggest your team prioritize picking them up at every opportunity and use them frequently for rotations. If your randoms are not responsive to them being put down, then leave them in the dust and live while they die to zone. They don't go super high enough to get over the tall mountains on Storm Point, so rotating safely still relies on paying some attention to zone frequently, rather than try to use them to rotate last minute. My duo partner (who is the designated attention payer) and I almost never die to zone, even when we land edge.Just yesterday, we won a game that was down to two squads, with zone rapidly coming in. Out random thought it was a good idea to remain and fight in zone because there was only one enemy left. The two of us Evac'd and got to safety. The random got knocked in their 1v1 and then we won the game because that final enemy died trying to get out of zone, just as we knew they would.

I love when "smarter, not harder" is proven to be true.- pandareno19992 years agoHero+
@reconzero
Honestly, it was a bit of a win-win. Our random, by good fortune, didn't get thirsted or bleed out yet before the last enemy died. So they got the win plus the extra kill they were hungry for.
