Yup, there are a lot of clueless people in this game. But I also have to say that the ping system is far from perfect. Your hypothetical is a great example why. If I saw the same squad off to the east and then pinged them... 90% of my squadmates would assume I meant "push" and they would run in that direction as fast as possible. Whether their third teammate (me) did or not. Whether the circle was about to crunch them or not. Whether they were going to lose claim on best in-circle map placement or not. People just don't think beyond the end of their nose in this game. It's like saying "squirrel" infront of a golden retriever.
