Control really highlights a major issue with Apex players...

I just had to quit a game because we were losing, even though we had 2 EXTRA PLAYERS, because my team REFUSED to take points. Imagine losing 9v7 because ppl refuse to play the actual objective of the game.....

Apparently, reading your HUD for objectives is the hardest thing ever.

Bruh, my entire team fights for B, despite the objective is attack C... hello? I'm over there 1v3'ing. So how are you btw not capturing B when you must be 8v6'ing? Anyway, it's like BR mode in that regard, people just don't help half the time. Sadge

And why is Octane and Pathfinder standing for 20 seconds on A... bruh, you're movement characters? Stim and grapple to B? But no, let the other team take it for free because their Pathys and Octanes actually go there. Or the guy in the Trident, making circles around A while we capture it, instead of driving to B?

Oh just remember we come from a season that promoted hotdrops and high kill games not strategy so it will take a bit of a while to switch on brains again :D They just adjusted the point rules for BR so things will fall into place in time hehe.

I can't speak for your teammates, but I feel I fall into the middle here. There is part of me that wants to go and cap points, and help players like yourself (and I do my best to do so). But, on the other hand, when I see a bunch of enemies, and I look and it's just me and one of my teammates, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the fight.

So, yeah, I find these situations difficult do to the (lack of) coordination. I know im not a good enough player to constantly do things like 1v3 or whatever. And when it seems like half the team isnt interested in capping other points or they want to heavily split their focus beteeen, say, holding A, capping B, and trying to cap C, all at the same time, I never know what to do.

I experience something like this in BR all the time, as I almost always Solo Q. I'll see one teammate who wants to go 100 M to the right, and another one who wants to go 100M to the left. And as the third party in that scenario I just look and go: "Well, this sucks. Either I also go off on my own, or at best we are 2 v whatever any time we go against something". And, if I can't find a way to rally 2 randoms to go the same direction or do the same thing with me, theres no way I could coordinate with up to 8 of them. And, honestly, even if you're a believer in Voice or Text Chat, at best, you'll be with 2 other people doing the same thing, while the other 6 just do whatever.

In short, there's up to 18 people in this mode. Most of us don't know each other from Adam, and we have limited communication options. So, at lot of the time, this mode is going to feel like herding cats, on both sides. Just the nature of the beast, I guess.

imagine getting upset over a limited time mode designed to see if they can bring a new audience to the game. They do have tweaks to do to the mode, but its not meant to be taken seriously. Arena flopped, and they need to make sure the next thing they do doesn't. Thats why its limited. It will be permanent in the future for sure.

i understand  you want people to take objectives, nobody will ever argue that. Ive wanted a tdm type mode in apex for a long * time, and its finally here. Getting upset over losing is fine but you arent allowed to tell people how to play the game. If youre on apex forums, youve played CoD. This isnt something you arent used to.

They dont allow team chat in the game within your entire team. You cant just sit there and say they dont want to play the game when you literally have no means of communicating your desires or making calls. The claim that people dont know what "flank" means is either you getting trolled or youre just outright lying.

@GatorbakerI've never played CoD. Ever. Also, wtf do you mean you can't communicate with teammates? Mic and chat works in Control with your squad... like all other gamemodes...
