F2p games tend to be massivly infected with cheaters, thats nothing new...probably even worse in an fps
A very simple and effective first step in counteracting cheaters is to create a "Battle Pass Only" mode.
The Battle Pass is something virtually everyone I've met gets, every season.
Now think about it: when a cheater gets banned, they immediately make a new, free account... but the Battle Pass isn't free. Every single time they want to cheat, they would need to repurchase the Battle Pass, or else be stuck playing in lobbies that were open to everyone.
The addition of a Battle Pass Only mode would be, in my opinion, the most pain-free way to help stop cheating in the short term.
Is it going to stop every single cheater? No, of course not; some basement kid with dad's credit card is going to keep paying for Battle Pass after Battle Pass every time he's banned. But he is the exception, not the rule. I am certain that the vast majority of cheaters won't be able to afford buying the Battle Pass over and over and over again -- or simply will get tired of doing so.
The beauty of this system is that a reduction of cheaters in Battle Pass Only mode will also make legitimate cheaters stand out more (as the more uncommon something becomes, the more it stands out when it happens). And most --if not all-- of cheaters will have a low Battle Pass level.
They would also have to change their IP address every time they repurchase the Battle Pass, or else it would be a massive indication of cheating. No one buys the same Battle Pass 4 times daily from the same IP for days in a row.
