Cross Progression Via Microsoft Account

So i'm not sure if someone did mention this.. but what if they could do cross progression from Xbox to PC via xbox app....

like i know why they are struggling to do CP but wouldn't be easier for now to do just Microsoft account.. 

i know other people would have steam and origin and playstation accounts but as a stepping stone you would be able to do just microsoft account.

Kinda like ARK Survival Evolved... i have it on xbox but have it on PC twice... i have the steam version which can't crossplay but then i have the version on the microsoft store which has all the same data from the xbox one.. so couldn't you do the same thing with apex..

i know people who wanna go from PC or PS to xbox or something wouldn't be able to but i think it's a good step that would make alot of people happy. 100% not final solution but still something.. would like to know if and why it wouldn't work as well 

also in regards to a more universal cross progression could could you set up a respawn account and the first time you login you choose which account you want it to be linked to. i know that means that people will have to give up one account to upgrade the other to cross progression but wouldn't that be worth it... i know id 100% give up all my pc data to use my xbox account everywhere.. i mean either that or same thing with respawn account then (Add main which would be then account you wanna use stat wise... then add 2nd and maybe even 3rd where you only carry over cosmetic and stuff without the kill stats then those 2nd and 3rd accounts get cleared of data leaving you with one account with all the unlockables and stuff from both or all 3.. i think you have thought about it this way but found some problem with it but wanted to add this part anyway 🙂
