The apex packs are pure gambling. Lots of folks are against gambling. I don’t mind it but I’d rather buy items outright like you suggested.
I bought some packs to open 60plus, most likely * luck, but I noticed some trends.
I got a legendary skin for both caustic and mirage. (You need to purchase those characters) one other legendary skin for the robot character I used very little. The character I use the most I have the least stuff for.
Bad luck or is designed to make you spend more money for character unlocks so you can use the shiny things the apex crates gave you?
Im gonna lean on the bad luck side, but such a design from a free to play game would make sense to me also.
Im currently saving my crafting materials until I see what’s coming in the next season. The game is so new who knows what will change or be added.
- I can confirm the same thing has happen to me as well. The lootbox system revolves are around it to make you spend more money. It gives you items for champions you least play or that are locked already.
