Diamond+ Ranked queue times
The queue times for Diamond+ are ridiculous. Towards night it is so bad people have to switch to like EU to get games. Why don't you just allow us to queue with plats or something. I'm forced to wait...
It's a joke. I wish they would get bought out because they have no idea how to even fix this game. Long wait times and back when I was low gold they were putting me against people 200+ RP against me. Meanwhile I was in high gold getting Bronze 4's. [Removed - CM] is so stupid. About to just go back to overwatch because they are killing their game
I think some kind of under-the-radar fix has been put in place.
From the way that PC players on here have been talking I think this has always been possible on PC but a week ago you could queue all night on xbox and not get into a game if there weren't people available at your league. Now on xbox it seems that after queueing for about 12 minutes it will fill your lobby with literally anyone who is available.
Queueing last night and just decided to sit there until a game popped or until I had to put netflix on my laptop to deal with the boredom and eventually a game popped, despite the counter never moving from 17 players. It went from 17 to instantly full. I'm Plat, my team mates were gold and the champ squad were all bronze players.
Longest que I've ever had so far was 2 minutes. I wait way longer on almost any other ranked game. (I no life it so usually top ranks) League is a perfect example I've waited a legit 15 minutes on that before. I live East coast on NYC servers usually insta-pop except super late night 2am+
I also thought ranking was PRETTY open? I get matched with bronze/plat/diamond/gold/silver etc. I'm D3. I get paired with just about anybody honestly cause not a lot of people at the higher tiers.
I dropped a b****** starting ranked so late. I was late to it anyway but thought there wouldn't be any harm as the better players will have levelled up early leaving the lesser skilled players.
Now while you could say that is true it's such a grind to start out with because of all the lesser skilled players. So often you (well I am) paired with sub 30 level players who drop skull town/bunker wherever but get knocked down immediately leaving a 3 on 1 etc. The only real tactic I have when that happens is to go for as many kills as possible to at least get some RP because I know I'll struggle later on being a 1 man team.
I'm finding myself having to send countless friend requests and invites to anyone remotely good I get paired up with to avoid the utter garbage teammates Bronze tier provides.
It shouldn't be long till I pass this phase but I don't see why it was ever like this. Hence the countless threads regarding higher requirements for ranked.
