Did Mastiff Get Nerfed?

Thinking about it last night while playing...current Apex has some good variety in general.  I just don't find it near as engaging or even as effective as Season 2.  It was legitimately fun in season 2 to see what sort of loadout I would end up looting because the options were that good and that plentiful.  Mostly I would base it on the dominant ammo type I would find on drop:

- light ammo I'd go with Alternator plus hop-up/R-99/R-301 combo

- heavy I'd go with Spitfire/Wingman/Prowler with select fire/Longbow combo

- energy I'd go with Havoc or Devotion with hop up and a Triple Take

- shotgun I'd go from Bique to PK and mix in something else with it.

I used Snipers A LOT in season 2 actually, given that I didn't have to reserve a special ammo slot.  Mostly Triple Take.

While there are options in Season 8, i don't get near the same feeling.  Snipers I rarely use anymore since I don't want to manage a separate ammo for them, and some other options aren't as effective as in Season 2.

Care package perspective, Mastiff and LStar were far better in the care package with PK and Prowler in the loot pool.  Mastiff has been terrible for me since the patch too.  Ridiculously bad.  So much so I'll pass it up for a Bique now.

@ArchAngeL-PCX  yeah when you got the Mastiff from the care package, you knew * cheeks were going to get clapped. Now you only get that feeling when you get the Kraber.

I miss the alternator disruptor sound when you fired the gun, pewpewpew. Atleast back then you could play what setup you feelt like per game, nowadays I dont get that at all - its the same one setup.

I got my 20 kill badge on my pathfinder from season 2 playing Longbow in skull town, havent picked up a Longbow since that season - feelsbad.
