Does the ring close faster this season?
Is it just bad luck? Am I imagining it? It seems like I cannot outrun a closing ring this season. It always catches and cooks me.

Same speed.
It depends on the ring shape and where you at it as shown below:
1. Left side is closer to the next ring so it close slower.
2. The right side is much far so close much faster.
