"This problem is more obvious in Storm Point where if you don't have a Valk on your team or jump towers, you will be forced to go through choke points or tunnels to traverse to another POI."
As the resident Storm Point cheerleader I felt the need to call this out. Even when I have a Valk on my squad I get as far away from squadmates as possible and consequently am almost never close enough to use her ultimate. Two weeks of experience with the new timer was all I needed in order to understand exactly when I had to start rotating in order to get where I wanted to go without having to go through a POI or anywhere else where enemies were likely to be. Tridents? Yes, helpful, but even with the shorter timer they're not always necessary, and are never necessary after first ring. Grav cannons? Helpful, but only on the initial drop to get somewhere as far off the drop line as possible. They're too risky to use once the game is really underway. And also almost never necessary.
All that pro-SP stuff out of the way, YES, 100% YES, jump towers are a force for good in the universe. The handful that were removed from King's constitutes, imo, a war crime. Although I am grateful for the one they added in the northwest corner.

I think Storm Point would have gone over better if it was more jump towers than gravity cannons.
Or, if the gravity cannons were like the ones in the IMC Armories. They launch you straight up and you can pick your direction to dive.
