@BaldWraithSimp I totally agree, selfish players gravitate to the main that offers them the most benifits for that type of play.
And im not exaggerating, i played about 30 games yesterday, the five we won we had NO octane and played cohesively, virtually every other game had a trash octane, now you might not play that way BUT you are the exception to the rule.
My fav yesterday was octane hearing gunfire at mid phase runner, stimmed over and died in 3 seconds, i mained blood, crept over to try and recover and broke a personal scan record of TEN ENEMIES DETECTED...... TEN! Both sides of the phase runner and all 3 buidings.
They are like brainless rabid dogs that just charge at the sound of guns.
They need to dump demotion protection so they at least care if they die or not!

@dougieee Octane was even used in major tournaments so yeah, he can bring a lot of help to his team. I do agree some Octane players are trash, but you could apply this to other legends as well. What are the benefits of Rampart in ranked? Every time i have a Rampart in my team either they're trash or they are not capable of using her (small) strengths. What about Gibby? 80% of Gibby players don't know how to throw a bubble properly. I could keep going with others as well. It's not the legends itself the fault, it's the players mentality, I mained Octane in S8 and i used him in ranked as well, but i always stick with my team and try to play as a team, even if i end up with trash teammates.
The overall level of Apex players is low, and i'm not talking about skill, but team play and game mechanics. That's where most of them lack a lot unfortunately. Add the fact that Respawn does nothing to incentivize team play by introducing some rewards for doing that or some penalties for solo toxic players and you get the state of Apex.
